Thank-You!! I am here! I tried calling my surgeons office Monday but silly me that is his big surgery day so no one was around! Anyway the pain in my neck and right shoulder and upper arm has decreased somewhat so I thought I would just wait till tomorrow ( Thursday) as I have my refill appointment with my PM tomorrow morning and I can talk with him about it. He will know whether I should be concerned about it and if I need to go back and see the surgeon or not!

Anyway I got out last night for the first time since I have came home from the hospital. One of the guys that goes to the divorce support group meetings lives near by, so I called him and and asked if he could give me a ride to and from. I had missed the week before because of the surgery. So it was nice to go to it. Everyone was surprised to see me so soon after surgery. I am glad the meeting was only two hours though, as when we left I was ready to get back into my recliner for a while. Heck the meetings are 40 miles one way. So even the trip takes a little bit to get there and back! But it was rally nice to get out of the house though!

You know all you guys have been so super to me, listening to me belly ache and all. I honestly don't know what I would do without all of you! You have helped me get through a very difficult time in my life, heck you still are helping me get through it!! Please know that I am here for you too! Each and every one of you, and if I can be of help to you in any way, Please don't hesitate to let me know! You all mean so much to me! Thank-You!!!

I think it's great you got out, although it does sound like a long evening. But your motivation to push yourself is commendable. I have a hard time a lot of days getting motivated to get up and out. Got to work on that, but once winter gets here I only go out when I have to!

I hope the pain is just healing from the surgery, and continues to get better. Definitely let us know what your PM says, and even if he advises you don't need to contact your surgeon, if the pain doesn't keep getting better I'd call anyway. Better safe than sorry!

WB, it is good to hear you are getting around and improving. I for one was concerned when you said they were releasing you and all I could think of was who was going to be there to help you. For those of us that do not live alone, we depend on our families. Please take care of yourself and keep the mending going in your favor. As for the complaint, all you can do is try. Blessings!

     Good morning! *warm huggs* It is so good to catch up with you. I feel I have missed so much in just a few days time. How is your pain level doing today?? Is it still slowly improving? I sure hope so.

    

     I was thinking as I read more on the neuro fellow... I think your PM is right. Though I normally would never think of such a thing... In your case, he treated you in an extremly unprofessional manner. That isnt okay atall. He really SHOULD know better. Perhaps a reminder in how to treat his fellow man is needed. Though how someone would go about doing so, ive no idea.

 

      It was so good to catch up with you! I hope you continue to heal (though seems very slow going to me!) and have a relaxing day, if possible.

You know we are on the same track as I was thinking the same thing, I was extremely surprised that he suggested filing a complaint form! But you know when I had that run in with the Neurologist, right after that appointment I went over to the Spine Pain Clinic for the epidural steroid injection in my cervical spine, That neurologist had called him before I got over there! Anyway my PM told me then that that neurologist did not know or understand all the things that he (PM) could do or why he does them. And he told me then that he thought it was good that I told him that I thought he was blowing me off! So maybe your right PALady maybe he has had problems with this Newurologist and knows that this guy is a quack! I know I think the world of my PM and I have complete trust in him. He is one of the very few Doctors I have ever had that I honestly believe he really does personally care about his patients and and not just their health but also their over all welfare! That is a very rare quality in a Doctor now days! If there would be any reason for me not to want to leave this area I am in my PM would be the reason and he would be my only reason I honestly think he is that good!

That is WONDERFUL that the pain is subsiding! You're healing! AND...AND...I am so proud you didn't 'pull a Pete' (LOL) trying to do all kinds of things to get the house perfect. Your health and healing are far more important. If people viewing the house don't understand you just had surgery, and some little thing out of place keeps them from making a bid, then it's not meant to be anyway. Anyone who sees that beautiful home and location (I remember your photos) and complains about a little dust or something doesn't want to buy it anyway.

I told you - in my crystal ball you'll get an offer before the snow flies!! ;-)

WB, I wonder what the record time is for a man to listen and follow the doctors oreders is? Whatever the time is, see if you can set a new one. You are doing so well. Keep it up.

Just as an update, yesterday I was feeling kind of low, achy and tired my neck and throart hurt I took a nap yesterday afternoon and woke up feeling a little better, went to town an got chinese take out for supper, anyway after supper I could hardly swallow, looked at my throat ant it wa really red and covered with white splotches. This morning I drove into town and went to convenient care, sat and waited two hours to be seen, they did throat cultures, I told them I thought it was either strep or thrush, or something because of the white spots. well the quick strip was positive for strep throat, so they put me on a Z pack since I am allergic to cillins. That kind of explains my chills and achyness an sore throat! Anyway I guess we all have our days. The GOOD NEWS is the realtor called this morning and a couple that looked at my house earlier wants to come back tomorrow, they would like me to be there when they first arrive and then to dissappear awhile so they can look and talk in private, I said no problem, I gues they have narrowed their sellection to three homes and mine is one of the three. so 1PM tomorrow they will be back, so I have a few things to get done before they come, just minor things I want to dust a little and put some papers away. Wish me luck folks!

No it hasn't snowed here yet,  I hope your prediction is right! If I can get the house sold I will move into a a small appartment and if need be put my stuff into a storage unit. Then I will start lookin at areas where I want to live or settle down, or what ever!   I kind of feel like I am starting  my life over again or starting anew, it is a little exciting but a little scary too! PALady I do know what you mean, but you know I really do hate to see you in the position that your in!  It does bother me a bit, your always there to help others, and now you are in  need of help! And I do feel a little bit helpless in being able to do anything. I know that is the way of things with the forum and internet, but it does seem harsh!

I wish the antibiotic would kick in as my  throat is killing me, and I feel achy all over. It is a good thing I went in to get it treated, as strep is not good when you have MVP. 

I do hope the Great Swamy PALady is right!
