How's your weekend going? Too busy? Maybe it's time to slow life down a bit. How about a fun movie? I know, tired of movies...but how about watching an old, favorite kids movie? tongue When was the last time you sat and laughed and the adult humor that is all over many of the movies that are geared toward kids? Personally I think some of the British movies are the best at this. Movies like the Wallace and Gromit series. We love those!..lol I'm a Gromit fan! He's so wise...lol

So, what is your favorite kids movie? When was the last time you watched it? I do love the Wallace and Gromit movies but as far as the oldies go I think it's probably The Muppet Movie that I like best. There was something about Jim Hensen's genius that is hard to beat. He could have the children laughing at their level of understanding and the adult rolling on the floor with laughter at the adult humor. That's MY kind of movie. smilewinkgrin What's your favorite kids movie?

My all time fav is disneys Robin Hood. I havent seen if for a while, but I cant wait to introduce it to my little boy!

I know it is not an old movie, but my favorite kid's type movie is "shrek".  It is so funny!  I love the message and I love donkey!  He is both annoying and lovable all at once.

I have fallen in love with a lot of kids movies. With a 4 year old in the house it is hard not to.

All of the Harry Potter movies
All of the Shrek movies
Disney's Cars
All of the Santa Claus movies (Tim Allen)
The classic Rudolph, Frosty, and Santa cartoons.
All of the Peanuts (Charlie Brown) holiday classics
Ratatouille
Finding Nemo

I like the Secret of N.I.M.H. and the Polar Express! Oh yes what was the movie with Fred McMurray? Flubber or son of flubber??? and I still like the original Miracle on 34th street!

It's not a comedy, but I still love the Wizard of Oz! Probably because it's got a female hero, and there are so many great messages in that movie about facing our fears!

And second would be Charlie Brown! The Hallmark stores have a book of Charlie Brown Holiday stories they're selling right now, and, of course, it starts with the story of the Great Pumpkin! I bought it for my goddaughter's 8 year old (but I think I really wanted it for me! LOL). The illustrations in it are great! It has 5 different holiday stories - in case anyone's looking for a great, fairly inexpensive gift for a child (a big or small child! LOL).

I gotta tel ya, I don't get the attraction of the Polar Express movie. I have seen it twice and I thought it was the most boring movie ever. Maybe it's me.

I like the Shrek movies too and love Disney's Sleeping Beauty and Enchanted. I guess there is something to be said for Princess movies.
