I found your first post buried in a thread on Jim's steroid injections. I wanted the rest of the Chronic Pain family to have a chance to meet you so I copied your first post here.

I'm so glad you have joined us here at Healing Well. I hope you're discover, as I did, that this is a wonderful place for support and information. The people here care deeply about each other and together we are making progress forward in helping those who suffer with all types of Chronic Pain.

What was the problem that caused you to have the injections? I'm guessing back issues, maybe disk problems? I have a collapsed disk between L5/S1 that I had injections for somewhere one side or the other of 2000. I got a small amount of relief but after a while I decided not to have any more. I take insulin and steroids make my blood sugars go wild for about a week afterwords. If I don't see some serious results then it's not worth it to me. But many people had wonderful results with this procedure.

Hey Jim,

I had a cortisone injection on October 11th. I was completely pain free the first week, in fact I even put the cane away. Since then maybe 25% of the pain has returned but the Doctor has added Lyrica to my pain management plan along with morphine and a few other drugs and my mobility and sleep is better than it has been in some time.

Here's hoping you get a great result from your injection.
