4 hours of sleep just isn't enough!  My pain is out of control, I am back to the less sleep then before and I'm getting really angry for being so darn tired and in pain!  UGGGGGG oh well, maybe doc will have some answers for me today.  I am going to call her and ask WHY we pulled my BT med.  What was the point other then to irritate me.  Any of you ever feel like maybe our doctors treat us like geunea pigs??  Ya gotta sometimes wonder.

 

The pain is now totally out of control.  I once could control it down to a 6-7 but now I am having 10s and 9s and that my friends does not sit right with me.  Okay, enough of my rantings.

I think it's good that you're going to call your doctor, and I hope that you get answers from him. No, nines and tens are definitely not acceptable to me, especially when they last for some time. I hope that today is better!

     Gosh I am so sorry you have to go through any of it. I cannot understand why you are forced to live through this, it is just crazyness. I am so sorry you havnt slept atall. I hope you can get through to the doctor quickly. Try to rest when your body will let you. Take care & stay strong

Scarred, it saddens me to hear this. I'm a very firm believer, and especially if you suffer from CP, that a patient should be treated reasonably for their pain, as long as it doesn't put their life in jeopardy.

Lets hope the Dr will be reasonable in his decision.

I hope you got through to your Dr. today and they were able to help you with answers as well as maybe even decide to not do this whole 10 experiment!

I am certainly praying for you to hopefully get some sleep tonight and be able to rest this weekend....

I genuinely hope that you were able to get through to your doctor today and get some answers. WHY?????? I reiterate WHY would he stop your breakthrough meds just like that???? Sometimes I feel as if it is literally a waste of energy attempting to explain the level of pain that we experience. I am sure that you most likely feel the same way right about now. And if you were unable to resolve the problem, now you have the whole weekend to contend with. Do these doctors realize that they are playing with are lives ...... are very existence. I am not sure that they understand exactly how much power they wield and how powerless we feel at times.

I feel for you and hope that you are able to get some relief. Good luck with your situation. Keeping you in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry that you're having to go thru this he**.  I really do feel for you.  Lately I have been at the top of the scale.  I hope your dr. has helped you with this.  My heart goes out to you.

 

I agree with SE.  These drs. really are playing with our existence.  It makes me wonder what their ideas are with putting us thru all that they put us thru.   (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))

Nothing. I couldn't get ahold of him as on fridays they are only open to noon.

Hi Scarred, it stinks doesn't it not being able to sleep. I sleep in two hour increments and have been for almost two years. I have no clue how it happened either. I am worse than a cat up prowling all night in this house. A little over a week ago I remembeedr when I did Remicade infusions and they gave me 50mg of Benadryl so I would not have a reaction to the Remicade and it knocked my lights out for 5-6 hours. I was their best patient because I slept the entire time I was there, lol. I decided to try it at night and it lets me sleep 3-4 hours then I am up for the day. I had hoped for a longer time frame, but I will take anything at this point. I am not a day time sleeper, never had been so it gets really rough at times. Sometimes during the day if I sit down at the computer I may nod off for a few minutes. If all else fails you may want to consider some Benadryl.

I take benadryl every night for allergies.

yeah Scarred, I am so sorry your pain is sooo bad! I don't remember you mentioning if you take a med for sleep. I was on Ambien (when I took Lyrica). I stopped going to the pain mgt. dr and started going to an Internisy dr. I am thrilled with him and his staff! He is so sincere and really cares. I'm currently taking 100 mg Savella daily and 2400 mg Gabapentin daily. I also take thyroid, cholestrol, magnesium, fish oil and antidepressant. This is the beginning of the 3rd week of low pain level. Thank God! I hope you feel better! I'll add you to my nightly prayers. Take care. Donna turn tongue

Scarred, I forgot to suggest something to you! I take 150 mg Amitriptyline at night to help with the pain and to help with sleep. You might ask your dr. Donna eyes
