Straydog Have you ever experienced a time that your pain dramatically flared-up that you could not get it under control.  Here is the story, I have baclofen for muscle cramps and morphine for pain.  On Monday, I had an increase in pain & spasms- went to Pain doctor for a 10%.  By Wednesday, I needed another 10%.  On Friday, I had a 7% increase. I ended up in the hospital on Monday, I could not get enougj oral baclofen and dilaudid in me to control the pain and spasms.  My pain specialist checked out the pump and everything was working fine. The cathater as still in place.   He said I was having a flare-up, upped my rate another 20% and sent me home with ativan, prednisone pack, zannaflex and more dilaudid.  He said that we just had to ride this out.
