i had mine implanted in july, still in A LOT of pain.

just wondering if someone else could share their recovery story with me

4 months of much worse pain. Meds increased substantially.
Repeated reprogrammings for 12 months.
Relief. Decreased meds to preop levels.
Decreased pain by ~25% vs. preop.
Decreased pain meds by ~66% vs. preop (off most completely, major reduction on the 2 I continued to take).

i am starting physical therapy on thursday, so maybe that will !

my doc said that if physical therapy does not work, i may have to have scs implant removed and stay in pain management for ever!
i do not want that to happen, so i am praying the PT helps.

I wanted to have mine explanted for months post-op. I even saw another doctor about getting it removed. He said even though he would have gone a different route, that at that point I really needed to leave it in & give it a good 6-8 months so I could recover (which takes a long time) and then work with reprogramming to see if we couldn't find a program or set of programs that would help me.

That was the best advice I've ever received.
