~ Weekly Roll Call (Stop by when you have a moment)

For the last week or so, pain has been much better from my back. The last RFA had finally done it's job (it took over three weeks this time with seriously increased pain). Now, however, my back is so much better that I can't even begin to tell you.

I also bought a new car this Friday. I woke up late, dropped my daughter of at school late (extremely unusual) and just decided to go looking. I found the one that made my back feel good with heated seats and automatic lumbar supports and I bought it. It's been a long time since I bought a new vehicle and I felt really good doing something that makes me feel good.

Then....(adults only please), my husband came home from his hunting trip at the lake....I did go by and show him the car but this was actually home. We were going to spend some adult time together when I noticed something was wrong. Upon closer inspection, my bladder tack that had failed.....has broken through the wall of the adjoining tissues. It's pretty easy to feel....teather, mesh, and all. I called the Dr, who saw it as no big deal (of course) and said to just make an appointment sometime this week to see him. Helloooooo.....something's bad wrong here!!!! Of course he's not going to admit it. He did the surgery and I told him exactly when the teather broke and that the bladder leakage was much worse than before. We were going to do another surgery just before Christmas, but I was afraid to because of the Holidays and my pain levels being so high. My psych did not want me to do any more surgeries until my body had healed some, althought I did do the RFA and I did suffer pretty bad with that one. (Please note that not everyone has difficulties with RFA's....that's just my luck, I gues). Anyway, it looks like surgery will be sooner than later and it will be time to pay the other $3000.00 out of pocket for my portion in addition to the dr co-pays and the other things. I just pray it goes well and they fix this thing this time. I'm sick of the problem and now I'm scared of what is going on inside. I'm going to try to get in today, but the roads are all icy and school has been cancelled even here in the south. Please pray this goes well. It may seem small to everyone else, but body parts have a place and should remain where they belong.

Glad you found a good car. What kind is it? I'd love a car with good lumbar support and heated seats.
We got 6 inches in our area. Very few cars on the road. Take it easy.

I had to travel to middle Ga this past weekend.

Four hours drive as a backseat passager.  

Three hours sitting on a narrow church pew for a very loud benefit sing for a sick cousin.

Lumpy hotel bed with limited sleep.   Allergic reaction to the motel sheets.

Two hours back on the church pew.

Then four hour drive back home in the back seat.

I could barely get out of the car last night when we got home.

Today every joint in my body is hurting.

Thank goodness I don't have to go into work today.

Had a hard time sleeping last night, some of it due to coughing, then my alarm didn't go off this morning
and I was almost late for my eye doctor's appointment and I need new eye plugs which they had to order
and I will get them next week and a new script for reading up close, and to use a steroid eye drop.
I'm just exhausted and sadden still about Privey, will carry her in my heart for a long time...

My back pain has finally settled itself back down to a more manageable level, which is very kind of it. I can sit again, and am not hobbling around by the end of the day looking 3 times my age. However, my ex husband is causing me stress so my migraines are acting up and breaking through my topamax. I can usually shrug off a lot of what he says, especially when he is just calling me names and things because I am so used to it, but when he starts in on our son, it makes me see red and that is where I can't seem to get my stress under control and my migraines break through. One would think after 11 years, he would have found a new hobby, especially since he is that one that left, but apparently not. I am still his favorite target, even after all these years.

eye plugs are little stopper placed in the tear ducts. They help keep the tears in your eyes if you're prone to dry eyes. I have one in my eye, too. The other one kept falling out so they never replaced it.

I felt very good this morning when I visited the pain doc. I hadn't even taken any pills. Ooooooops! By the time I was halfway home (trip is an hour each way) I had to stop and take tramadol and a couple of Advil. Of course that upset my stomach even though I had eaten an egg panini.

Pain doc injected shoulder (bursitis and tendonitis). He said see an orthopedist, but a different one than the one who said I don't have the b&t. He said a rheumatologist won't do anything more than he could do (the inj). I've been trying to get in to see a rheumatologist, but the new one's staff didn't even call back all last week. "Oh yes, they got the reports from the other docs," when I called about that today.

Tomorrow I'll call the ortho I had for the knee. I understand he does shoulders too. It's been hurting for a year or so, but now I can't get a cup of tea out of the microwave. PT isn't helping at all. I'm taking 4 tramadol a day where I used to need only 3, plus now taking max doses of Advil and arthritis strength Tylenol.

I haven't been posting much lately, but have been reading posts and praying for folks on a regular basis. There has been so much going on in my world for the last month and a lot of it stressful, so I just haven't had the energy to post much.

My mom's husband was diagnosed with Lung cancer and passing away within weeks of the diagnosis. Next, my father in law was hospitalized for heart surgery, suffered a stroke while in the hospital and was also diagnosed with an infection in his heart - he's finally home and starting to recover, and finally my adult daughter has been dealing with legal issues regarding custody and visitation for her son and his dad and his other grandparents. It's all been hugely stressful, and in the midst of all this, I am trying to get my home crafting business running as well as my husband's crafting company.

Nothing has changed for me pain wise - I'm still waiting for an appointment to see the Orthopedic Surgeon regarding my hip and now I've also buggered up my right knee somehow...it "catches" on the left side when I'm going up the stairs (predominantly, although I notice the pain going downstairs and walking sometimes as well) - it feels like the knee is giving in on me. I'm also waiting for an appointment for nerve conduction tests for my carpal tunnel syndrome, so I can get that surgery out of the way as well.

The only fantastic thing in all of this is that my hubby and I are going on a West Caribbean cruise, leaving from Miami on March 27th....we'll be celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary in Belize!!!

Anyways, I continue to pray for people here in these forums, and hopefully there will be more time to participate in the near future.

Honestly, I've been sorta crumby over this weekend. Felt pretty good this morning...until I stood up and felt like I got hit by a sack of bricks! lol!

I still ended up going out as I had some things to do, but I had to have people ship me around...which I am not used to yet! I always feel like we're on the verge of crashing into something!
