Here I am...ready to post.  Okay so lots going on in my woods.  Besides all of the snow and ice...more ice then snow LOL but hey that's KS right?  I have a SSI hearing next Monday in Wichita (YUCK!).  The appeals courts kicked it back down to the JA because they did not take into consideration my hubby's testamony....so goody gum drops we get to go back to court.  Hey, maybe now that I'm 47 I'll actually get it?!  One can only hope.

My oldest is scheduled to be released in June and that has me excited to see him. He promises to come see his mom before he heads for Utah and his new home in a half way house.  Gotta love them kids that don't quite meet your ultimate expectations huh?  Ah well, I still love him.

Youngest came to KS for Christmas.  That was the best Christmas ever!!!  He spent two weeks with us and we had a wonderful time.  Then he headed for his new home in Minneapolis where he is now back in college (yay) and studying to be a chef.

Okay, so I now realize that this is getting way too long for a post!  So to cut things short.....still dealing with horrible pain, oh ya.....and I'm starting a petition to get a therapy pool in this stupid town!

     Good morning *hugg* It is always good to hear from you. I must admit, I have often wondered how you were doing and what you have been up to. I see now you have been busy as ever.

 

     It must have been so nice to have family home for Christmas. Even better your son is beginning a new start as well. I hope you continue to have good news as the year goes by. It would just be fantastic if your hearing goes well too.

 

      Stay in touch when you can or let us know how the hearing goes. Stay strong!

Nice hearing from you scarred, was wondering about you, I hope things go
good for your case and that you get SSI, and hopefully everything else will
fall into place for you. Will be wishing that you get a low pain day soon.

Awww thank you so much my friends! It's been a hectic month so far. Getting ready for this SSI hearing and trying to quit smoking has been all I think about as of late. Doc recently ordered a new set of xrays to see if the hardware is tight and stuff, so I will find out that news on the 25th of next month.

But mainly I have just been staying inside out of the cold and trying to keep my pain to a min. Though that is even tough these days. God I hate winter! Of course I don't suppose it is easy on any of us that live with pain.

 Hey Scarred , Welcome back ! Its good to hear from you and nice to have you back with the family .I really hope everything works out the way you'd like it to , and that the situation in the courts and with your son conclude in a positive way . Hi Scarred, yes you are right there is nothing like a cold Kansas winter. I lived there for awhile and was use to snow but not that wind that cuts right thru to the bone, it was awful. I never did get use to the wind.

I am sure you are excited over getting to see your son and the two of you will have a wonderful visit no doubt. As for the other one that came for Christmas, after he graduates he needs to come visit mom again and make her a gourmet dinner fit for a queen. I am spoiled and know it, I have always had both of my children home for the holidays. Both live within 10 minutes of my house so I do have easy access to them, lol.

Good luck on the hearing this time, hopefully it will go in your favor. Take care and don't be such a stranger.

Hi Stray and Mikel! Great to hear from both of you! Yep Stray, my youngest is planning on creating a meal for his mom and dad that we will be talking about for years....or at least that is what he says LOL!!! I am just happy he's back in college. I had hoped it wouldn't take this long, but he is hard at work making sure he does all his homework and stuff like that. So mama is pretty proud!

Anyway, talked to my stand in lawyer yesterday and it sounds like he is an agressive kinda guy. That's a good thing and I am hoping that we can make the AJ understand my condition and how it affects my life each day. It's basically do or die time with SSI this time, as I have been out of work for so long that I don't have any work credits left to play with.
