Very Bad Procedure Day

Okay i'll start off yesterday when i took my milk of magnesia.

I was scheduled for a Pill-Camera Capsule procedure done today. The day before i was supposed to drink 4tbsp of Milk of Magnesia.

So i took my milk of magnesia at the time they told me to take it which was at 4pm the day before which was Wednesday the 9th. And the milk of magnesia didn't kick in for a while. it took about 6-8 hours to kick in and when i did it kicked me hard. In my past i have had 4 Procedures done because of a e-coli bacteria that was found in my stool samples. And ever since that i have lost 50 pounds. This was back in August 18th, 2010. My Sickness that i have started out with me having constant diarrhea/very soft black stools after everytime i ate something. And even when i didn't have to go to the bathroom my stomach would be in EXTREME pain. As if someone was stabbing me in the stomach and twisting it with a knife.

The procedures the doctors gave me are:
Colonoscopy
UpperGI
LowerGI
CT scan of my pelvic area
and now The Pill Camera


Everything has came back negative so far without any results. The doctors only have seen some minor irration in my intestines and on my colon and thats it.

SO today I am in the most pain ever. The milk of magnesia is still in my system and its hurting me very bad. Everytime i run to the bathroom I have constant diarrhea. After i have the diarrhea my rectum burns like it has some type of fire on it or acid on it and i can hardly stand it.. Everytime i go to the bathroom i cry in agony because of the pain is just unbearable.

I am only 17 about to turn 18 in March and I need some desperate help. My pain is really bad and I just need some help calming my pain down.

Hi Blooper, its terrible to suffer and not know why, hopefully the pill camera test will be the answer. It shows the entire small bowel which does not get seen on a colonoscopy. I have had all the tests you have had and then some and they are not fun to say the least. I have crohns disease and ulcerative colitis, tons of fun. The diahrea is casing the burning, go to the drug store and get some baby diaper rash ointment. That will take care of the problem. A lot of times over on the crohns forum we have talked about what we call acid poop that just scalds the skin and burns the daylights out of ya.

Has the gi dr offered you anything like Bentyl for the cramping? Perhaps you can call the nurse at his office ans ask if they will all you something in for the cramping. Hopefully you will get some answers soon. You may want to go over and check out the crohns forum, there is more talk over there about what you are suffering with than here at the CP forum. You will learn a lot there. And you are also welcome to stay here at the CP forum too. Sometimes many of us use more than one forum here at Healing Well.

I know this topic is a few months old but I have another issue.

As i said back in february i was having a Camera swallowed and a colonoscopy done, again.

The procedure went "okay" I guess i can say. They found a peptic ulcer in my duodenum, the doctor kept me in the hospital for 7 days doing check-ups on me and was giving me Nexium and this pink liquid that i was having to swallow daily( they never told me the name of the pink liquid sorry :/ )

A few months has gone by since I have been in the hospital and I have been doing very very well... Until now. I stopped taking the nexium in early June because my parent's wanted to know if the medicine is either helping the ulcer go away or if it was just covering the pain/medicating it even though its still there. Well now in late July I started having random diarrhea problems to where i would wake up just fine in the morning then suddenly get really hot and have diarrhea randomly when i got to the bathroom. This has occurring for about a week or two now and my parents think i have IBD now and hopefully not Crohn's.

I just really want someones input on what they think is happening in my body and what I should do.
