Hi all, I have found a great dr in florida and i just had to tell someone.After suffering in constant pain for years and having been prescribed all sorts of medication i finally found a dr that cares and helpful.Iwould just like to thank some wonderful people here who pointed me in the right direction...THANKS smilewinkgrin

Hi Janina and welcome to Healing Well's chronic pain forum. I am glad that you have found the forum and hope that you will come back and share a little more information about yourself with us.

That is awesome that you have found a good dr as that is so important for people with CP. Finding a good dr can be a long drawn out process for many of us.

Again, welcome aboard and I do hope you will return back here and share a little more with us about you.

Thank you, well i moved to florida from nj a few months ago and try as i could i had a nightmare finding the right dr for my severe lower back pain which was caused by a drunk driver who crashed into me 3 years ago.After reading some of the stories on this forum i took some advice and it worked out very well for me i am thrilled i went to an online referal service who sent me to have a face to face appointment with their dr.As soon as i arrived the receptionist was very friendly and helped me fill out their forms then i spent about 20 minuites with the pa and then i spent at least 30 minuites with the dr who listened to what i had to say which is a first.He went through my medical history and put me on a great regiment of medication and helpful tips to stay as pain free as possible.All i can say is im extatic.      Good morning! I do not think we have met. I am Dani and it is very nice to meet you. Welcome to Healing Well  :-)

 

     The new doctor sounds like a keeper. It is so hard to find a good doctor that truly listens to what you have to say. 

 

     I am not from Florida but many members here are. I go to Florida every chance I get, as all of my extended family live there. It is beautiful, but I usually end up having to schedule rest days as it can be tiring. Everyday going from Jacksonville, Gainesville to High Springs wears me out. I have to say though the heat out there in summer is terrible. yuck! They love coming to New Mexico for a few weeks during the balloon fiesta and winter. I laugh that they come up here to dry the sweat off their bodies.

 

    It is really nice to meet you. I hope you get a chance to rest now that your pain is better controlled.

Thanks Dani,I really appreciate all the people here as it can be very lonely dealing with chronic pain on you own especially now im in a new town.You are right this dr is a keeper and he is such an understanding guy.Next time your in florida look me up i would be happy to meet you and thanks again for your concern.
