How is Vanessa going with her new lungs?

I was just thinking about Vanessa this morning and her transplant and wondering how everything is going for her? anyone heard from her? or Vanessa are you still on this forum? Would love to hear how she is :)

Vanessa, did fine for a while, but then had a set back or two with some other health problems. Recently though she developed a bleed in her lungs and they went in a few days ago to repair it.

I did get to visit with her the day before her surgery, and she was in the hospital at that time. She was in good spirits as far as I could tell though. Her words to me were that is was a minor setback.

She was her same charming self!


The last I heard she was back on a vent and they have her in an induced coma. Pebbles225 stay's in contact with her family, and should know more.

We have been following this young lady's progress for quite some time.

Poor girl! But glad she is so strong and hopefully soon will be back to normal! Please let me know how she goes and send her my love :)

I too have been keeping up to date on Vanessa's progress. She has a wonderful boyfriend

who does not leave her side at all. She has been on an induced coma since the operation

so she can heal better and less discomfort for her. This means she is also on the ventilator.

Thru the week she had to have two chest tubes inserted. So today like mentioned they will wean

her slowly out of the coma, and this is somethiing that always scares her. But Ron will be at

her side and coach her as she comes of of her coma. She is a very strong willed,

courageous young lady and she won't go down without a fight. So we know with time she will pull

thru this one too. I'll get the update from Ron tonight or suprisiingly it could be out princess.

I don't know Vanessa, but she sounds like a courageous and strong girl. How old is she? Anyway, I'll pray for her too. I know that disease that was in her lungs is a horrible disease to have. I'm glad that she got the lung transplant. With God's help, she'll come thru with flying colors, I'm sure.
