Hi everyone. My Fentanyl patch script came in the mail today. I'm so very happy. My pain has been exreme today and i want to get that patch on asap. I've been really shaky too. I can't wait til these withdrawls are over with. I just got the mail, and Jerome just took the prescription for the patches and oxycodone over to Rite Aid just across the street, so it shouldn't be very long. I know it's going to take time for the patch to get up to where it's supposed to be, but i'm just so happy i got that script. I called the place where i got the catscan and mris done, and i got that information too. unfortunately i've degenerative disc disease and other things wrong in my lumbar spine too. I expected that because a year after I had the major fall that caused the compressure fracture, etc. i fell on the icy side walk. I do know i've got problems at L5-Si. Is that what it's called. I have noticed that I had quite a bit of pain in that area lately. Well, i wanted to step by and give you all the good news. I hope you're having a low pain day. you all take care.

                 Wahooo! You have a smile on you're face again! smilewinkgrin

       We are happy for you, and yes you are correct, in that it may take some time for the fentanyl to take full effect. I'm willing to bet in 24 to 48 hrs (maybe less) you will enjoy some relief.

             Enjoy the rest of your day, and take it easy there.

Thanks Michael, Paula and Suzane. i feel better already. it's so good to have some pain relief. yes. it won't be long now. thank God. Thank you all for your support. Love you all three.

Wow, I'm so glad it finally came thru to you...Hopefully you'll be able to rest better

How many days has it been since you have had any narcotics in your bloodstream? What strength are your patches? The reason that I am asking is that since you have been off all narcotics for some days now, be careful when putting the patches back on, especially if they are on the upper end of the patch strength....
Just be watchful for any breathing difficulties or excessive sleepiness.

Loretta, I'm so happy the prescription finally came. That was a long and painful wait for you...I hope you never have to go through that again.

Rest up and let that patch do it's job. Take care of yourself!!

Yay!! 'bout time your perscription finally got to you! Just be careful re-introducing the stuff into your system now that you've gone through withdrawls. Finally though, manageable pain levels again!  smilewinkgrin

thank you all so much. i'm on 50mcg. i haven't noticed any side effects at all. i've never had any side effects from them that i can remember. i'm doing so much better today. the withdrawls are gone. my pain is so much lower. my spirits are high. i'm actually doing good today. the only things is it's cloudy oustide. it's been that way for the most part for the last few weeks. i wish the sun would shine and it would warm up. then i could sit on the balcony and enjoy the sunshine. i think it's supposed to rain today, so i guess i'll be getting more pain because of that, but i'm prepared to handle it. heck i just went thru he** how can it be as bad, right? well, i'll let you all go now. you all sweet, sweet people take care and i pray you're all having a low pain day.
