Well, it's official... I think she feel of the face of the earth! I tried to FB her today and her account is wiped out. Has anyone heard anything about our Dear Friend?

Hey all,

People come and go on the board for a variety of reasons.  Sometimes we know; sometimes we don't. (I've been on here for almost 3 years and have seen this happen before).

I admit it is frustrating when you get close to somebody - and then - poof!  They are gone.  But, again, we don't know people's life circumstances and so forth. 

I personally haven't talked to Dani and don't know where she is... but, again, that's true of many members here.  Sometimes, they need space, aren't feeling well, variety of reasons.

Just my random thoughts.  Take care all. --Tina

I miss Dani too. I just haven't said it here. I didn't realize that she wasn't on Facebook anymore. I know I sent her emails just a day or two after she was in chat, and it came back that the emails couldn't be sent. I guess she just doesn't want to be bothered or something. I've seen others leave too, but I'm really shocked that Dani did.

I hope everyone is having a low pain night.

She was having trouble with downhill on eyes and some other things as well, wasnt she? I worry that somthing sudden happened. I am sure she is prayed for, expecially here. I miss her too, and I hope she has plenty of support where she is.

FB account wiped out. Emails not delivering.... major red flags in my book.

I mean I understand coming and going from here. Heavens knows I'm not as active as I used to be, and we all need a break once in awhile. But if you look back and read some of Dani's last posts about her current condition.

I really wish someone would be able to get ahold of her. I don't want her pressured to come back, if that's not what she wants, but I'd really like to know that she's okay and that it's not something else going on but just a sabatical of sorts.

Sure hope things are okay for you, we all miss you and care so deeply about you.
You've been the best of friends here for most folks and we want to be there for you.
Your going thru a lot with your eye's but know we've been Praying for you...

Good to see you here.  We haven't seen much of you around here these days.  Hope that is a good thing and means you are feeling better, my friend. :-)

I'm not sure what happened w/ Dani - and I know you and she were/are good friends. 

And this comment is really meant in love - w/ no hidden agendas or argumentative tones.  Honestly. (It's hard to convey that in a written form).   But it sort of hurts my feelings - or, better yet, alienates some people when a person is singled out as the "heart and soul" of the forum.  Does that make sense?  Again, I hope you know me well enough by now to know that comment is not meant in a mean-spirited way...

She DID give much of her time and offered her friendship and support to others.  I don't know why she just left.  But there are so many of us here - past and present - that give of our time, small amounts of energy and so forth, to the board.... so I really consider the "heart and soul" of the forum to be....A) Peter (for creating HW) and B) all of the members, including moderators, that post and give of their time, love, knowledge and so forth. 

Again, I shared yesterday that sometimes I'm alone on an island w/ my thoughts.... and this indeed may be another one of those times :)  Again, it's not that I don't miss Dani, wish her well, wonder why she left and so forth.  But I just hate to see one person singled out as the heart of the board. 

I hope this makes some sense and I hope it will be read and viewed as it's meant - in love; nothing more.  Hope to see you around here more, Mikel.... --Tina

Hi Tina. You're not alone in this one. When I read Mikel's post of Dani being the heart and soul of the board, it did hurt my feelings too. I and all of you others are the heart and soul of the board, along with peter of course. We all give so much of our time, when we are having chronic pain ourselves. I'm not meaning it in mean spirited either. It just hurts. I hope you're having a low pain afternoon, evening.

One of the large reasons I came to the CP forum was because of Dani's warm hearted spirit. I felt invited here...I felt heard! She spent countless hours on this forum and took so much time and energy when she herself was in so much pain!...Not to mention, rasing her two beautiful daughters. Saying someone is the "Heart and Soul" of a forum is a compliment!...plain and simple take it or leave it.  

I don't think people should judge why someone says she was the " Heart and Soul"...I don't understand why someone would think negetively about lifting someone up in encouragement and praise! If a person think's it' "sad that a forum feels this way about her"...they can just as simply keep it to themselves. We are all here to support one another and I hope someday to be as good of a listener as Dani was.

Shoot - I wrote a book and then I lost it :)  Anyway, back to what I was saying :) 

There's no disrespect meant w/ what I write here.  Re: being judgmental... I promise you, I am one of the most non-judgmental people you will ever meet.  So, if you are referring to me making a "judgmental" comment - that's by no means what I was doing.  Also, if you have an issue w/ something I've personally written - I'd appreciate it if you'd take it up w/ me (my e-mail is listed under my username).  Let's save the board for what it's meant for.

The point I was making is - to single ONE person out as the heart and soul of this forum is rather hurtful to those of us that put our own heart and souls into the board.  It wasn't a "knock" to Dani.... it was just the way the comment was worded.

In addition to what you wrote - I, too, have serious, serious health and pain issues, raise 8 children and so forth - and I give of my time and energy to try to help others here.  I'm just one of MANY that have similar life circumstances that give of their own time and energies.  So, again, that comment comes off in an offensive light.

I never, ever said one negative word re: Dani.  I don't know what happened to her....

The one thing you said, though, that I do agree w/ you on is that we are here to SUPPORT one another.  Please let's not let this type of drama get in the way of that.  Emotions can run high at times, we all don't feel well and sometimes things don't come across in the right tone when written.

Anyway, I do care about you all here - and pray we can just continue to support each in peace.

Im sorry for saying what I did, but it did hurt. I sure don't mean any disrespect to Dani. She has been a dear friend to me, and I miss her so much. I really wish she would come back. She did really more than she was hardly able to do. Please come back Dani.

This thread needs to be locked. 

I'm going to refrain from saying anything else.... but I DO know Mikel quite well - and have every right to say what I wanted to - to him.  We all have the right to our opinions. 

That said, I will refrain from further comments. 


Dani - of course, I wish you well.  It was never about that.  I even said that in my initial posting.  My comment was about ANYONE being the heart and soul of the forum.
