These are my mri results from my low back pain and i am having trouble understanding what this all means if you can help thanks again.. chris ( mickey1. Multilevel disc desiccation most conspicuous at l5-s1 where a shallow and annular rent contribute to thecal sac effacement. No effacement of the l5 or s1 nerve roots at this level. 2. l2-3 bilobed disc protrusion asymmetric to the left with thecal sac effacement, mild left lateral recess stenosis. No acute right-sided extrusion to correlate with provided history of right knee pain. 3. no acute vertebral fractures or microtrabecular stress reaction. 4. multilevel lumbar spondylosis. as i mentioned i have no idea what this means. I know many of u have and still do suffer back pain, and i,m sorry, but can someone please help me.. what treatment mite i have done. So far I,ve had the shots, ablation and now dr. wants to shoot dye to see where the problem really is. he keeps telling me i need a spinal fusion. am going for a second opinion the 27th of this month. would love to hear from anyone.
