last night buttercup went downhill very fast, shes been vomiting constantly but is hardly concious and her eyes have turned yellow in the white bits..

i only went to see her this morning for a few minutes we culdnt stay long and she wsnt up to much anyway but shes pretty sick and i dnt know whats wrong she was doing okay before.

just thought i would let you all know and ill keep u updated when i hear what is wrong.

would it be an infection or sumtihing? will she be okay if it is?

Hey thanks for the update, and sorry to hear this type of news about our Buttercup! shakehead

Is she still in the Hospital? Surely, with the description you have given here, her parents or Dr's are on top of this? What do they say?

Do you have contact with her parents or a family member there? Yes!...infection is a real possibility and that is one reason they would have kept her in the hospital for a while.

Please do keep the members updated as best you can. She has quite a following here on the forum. Also, I hope your doing well too!....so how are you doing these days?

SE - shes in the hospital i jst went in to see her again, doctors are still running tests etc. i speak to her mum a fair bit to see how she is when shes not up to talking. they think she has an infection and also whatever is causing her CP (the abdominal pain that they hadnt diagnosed before the cancer turned up so has been put on hold unti she is better!) anyway they think it is playing up and doing something weird whatever it is because she has a bleed coming from her liver thats not related to the cancer they dnt think. so they will probably need to do more tests to find out what the pain is. poor thing.

i'm doing really well thanks, my fusion worked well, still get pain occassionally and it can get bad when the weathers cold or i've done a lot of activity but other than that my life has improved a lot!

Laura - I told her you sent your best wishes. I don't think she really understood me lol she was not with it at all but i'm sure part of the message got to her :)

           OMG my poor little Buttercup! Thanks for keeping us up to date Maddie. This is very upsetting

           news for me as she and I have been keeping in contact for several months by email and skype.

            It seemed that she was so close to going home. Please tell her Suzane is praying and praying for

            her. She is a strong young lady and she will pull thru this.  Hugs and kisses for my sweet friend.

             Please keep us up to date as much as you can Maddie. Thank you for being such a dear friend

             to her.

I'm sorry to hear this tragic news, she is a wonderful person with an outstandingly optimistic spirit.

As per the comment about yellowing in her eyes, that sounds like it is probably Jaundice, which is a liver condition caused by problems in the filtration pathway as I understand it and is reversible and temporal condition. It can be caused as the result of many things (such as gallstones or blood emzymes in the liver) so I don't want to speculate as to what could be causing it. However, if it is only in the eyes, then its mild Jaundice (as more severe cases yellow large areas of the skin). As it is treatable, she is certainly in the best place right now, under a doctors direct care.

thank you for posting the update pebbles, i didn't get round to it had to rush off to work.

buttercup has gone into a coma, the doctors said this isn't common but it has happened before and is probably her body's way of healing itself, the chemo is now finished so her body is repairing itself and doesn't have as much stress so should be easier. normally when a person goes into a coma after chemo when there are infections present it is just to give the body a break and they will normally come out within 2 days. lets pray she can heal but will wake up soon.

the doctor found she has a liver infection as well as the other infections, this could be the cause of the bleed but it could also be related to the undiagnosed chronic pain she had before the cancer came back.

i am going to go see her again tomorrow, and just talk to her i dont know whether she can hear me, if any of you want me to tell her anything i am happy to read her things you post.

went to see her before, shes still the same no better but luckily no worse!

i told her everyone is worried and praying for her,
