I had a very busy Saturday with my daughters 6th birthday party. There were lots of highs and lows that came along with it. Today, I finally got my flowers planted, which makes me happy. Looking at them can always take me to a "happy place".

Anyhow, I am feeling very blessed and thankful for my new friends here and just wanted to let you all know how very grateful I am for you guys. When it comes to Chronic Pain not very many people understand. So finding you all has been a true gift for me.

I hope everyone has a good week with minimal amounts of pain and lots of sunshine.

Aww...such a sweet thread!...We are thankful that you have come here as well as you offer support and care to many on here too...Glad you were able to plant your flowers, as well as celebrate your daughter's 6th birthday!!

Looking forward to Bachelorette tonight...wheeeee....wonder how long she is going to keep Bentley around...last week's 'blurb' of what may happen tonight...doesn't show the rest of the guys very happy about him being there!!! LOL...It's fun to have something to help keep our minds off of pain for a bit:)

SB, I can't wait for tonight!! It does take my mind off things if just for a few hours. I love yelling at the TV. I look like a crazy lady..LOL I'm sure we will have Mr. Bentley to talk about later. And wait for Tina to join in..Hahaha

So glad you came here luckyflowers!

I haven't really had the chance to get to know you, or support you yet i'm sorry! I've read your threads even though I haven't replied to many but hopefully soon I'll be able to post more and get to really know you :)

I'm so glad you had a good weekend and got your mind off things, I agree thats always good!

Your so sweet paula! I live in an apt and I have a balcony. I buy all sorts of flowers and then plant all different ones together. Load the balcony up, and that is then my summer happy place. I try and tell the kids when they see me out there, well that's my "timeout" spot, and I would like some alone time.

You know most of the time it doesn't work with a 6yr old..lol

Lucky....

I started a response to you about 10 times last night... but kept falling asleep!!  I'd wake up and there would be 100 weird symbols all over the post.  tongue   That was finally my clue to give it up and go to BED!!  I realized, though, that I never logged out.... so - just FYI - I wasn't on here for the last 24 hours, haha.

ANYWAY, as I was trying to say last night - I'm glad you are here, Lucky.  I think you fit in really well.... and it does help so much to have people that truly understand what it's like to life w/ chronic illness/pain.  I wish that none of us had those issues..... but, if we have to - at least we have the comfort of finding support from one another. 

Well, babies are crying... but - as usual - I'll be watching Bachelorette tonight....and the whole Bentley saga - and I'll log in later and give my 2 cents worth - LOL.  I don't know what I would do w/out my TV shows!! :)

Thanks Tina..that is so funny that you said that. I do the same thing..In fact I guess I told my daughter on Sunday when we took a nap that we would take this nice long walk for ice cream and then play at the park..hahaha now that some funny stuff right there..you know I was half asleep.

But, really thanks for your kind words it means alot to me. And yes, we will touch base after the show :))

Hi Lucky

I'm glad that you feel so welcome and supported here. You are so supportive of other people as well.

We have a balcony as we live in an apartment. and I've got a plant (can't remember the name). a hanging basket of purple and white flowers, some herbs that I started from seed, that are growing pretty fast), and a tomato plant that needs to be potted. It's been about a month since I bought it, and still haven't potted it yet. It's growing good, which I'm surprised about.

I don't watch the bacelorette, but I have watrched the bachelor up until they let that one guy come back again, and he still didn't choose a girl. That really made me angry, and I havent watched it since.

I like Dr Oz and The Doctors in the afternoons, and Hose and some other medical shows at night.

I don't know what I would do without my tv and computer. It helps me to keep my mind on something else.
