Thanks...been "lurking" a bit..my life is falling apart right now...pain, depression, I guess you could say thank god I have my kids..and I'm far to upset to even talk, its just so pointless...anyhow, the show was great, I did have that to enjoy :) Hope your doing better. Catching up on all the posts I missed and found this one...How sweet of you Tina to check up on myself and Lucky:)

I was away visiting my Dad for a week and then one of my dear friends got into a terrible car accident...She flipped her car a few times as she either fell asleep or blacked out..and went into the oncoming lane (two lane road)...Thank God she is alive!...As well as her doggy was in the car with her and didn't get hurt at all!...My friend has a slight fracture in one of her cervical vertebrae and has to wear a brace for 6-8 weeks...but no paralysis or disc damage so no surgery for that!..She will have to have skin graft surgeries on her right hand/arm....but again...it could have been so much worse...

Also thankfully the other driver in the car she hit was not injured amazingly!...

The really scary part is that it was 3pm in the afternoon...She doesn't think that she was exhausted or could fall asleep like that...they did every test imaginable to make sure it wasn't a brain issue like a seizure or something...she doesn't drink or take any medicine...So...it's terrifying to her to not be able to piece together what happened...It literally was one second everything was fine...the next she was in the other lane...

So..since I happen to have some experience with a neck brace..LOL..I've been spending time with her trying to give her every tip and trick in the book to help make it as easy as possible these last weeks and one's to come...As well as keep her spirits up...as you all know...when you are injured...it can effect your emotions as well...



Pain has been a bit higher with being busy...the drive to my Dad's is 6 hours each way...and I take my doggy with me as well:) But just took my time...stop every hour to hour and a half to stretch and use the potty as I drink so much water! Doggy likes the rest stops as well as most have a place for doggies to walk around too...It was a great trip as always to see him, his wife...and my younger brother (if you all remember my story about finding my Dad after 31 years!!)...So I cherish these times together...

As well as this humidity and heat is brutal! Blechh...

How are you doing well Tina! And has Lucky been on lately? We have SO much to talk about with Bachelorette! Tonight should be a fun show as well as the finale!...But I hate that it goes by too quickly...LOL...

I've missed you all too!! I look forward to reading more and catching up with everyone and posting again....but even when I'm not on here...I am always praying for my HW peeps!

Suzane...That would be a fun OT thread:) Thanks for the welcome back...the wonderful thing is that my friend and I go to the same church where whenever there is a need...large or small...everyone springs into action and helps out...So she has meals for a few months...cleaning her home..taking her to Dr. appts...help with her doggy..etc. They've helped me through my surgeries as well...it's really a blesssing!

Yes...it's a long drive to my Dad's and I try to go twice a year...he can't drive because of his eyesight....I just take my time and it's all highway driving so that is good..and I leave/come back during non rush hours and I love just cranking up the tunes and singing (badly..lol)....and thankfully my lab gets along with their two Doberman's...They have a sign on their door.."Beware of Dobertwins...no soliciting"...with a cartoon drawing of the two of them...LOL...

How have you been doing? I can't imagine how you get by with your daily headaches:(... Sending you some hugs (( ))


SE! Yep..I knew I'd get into trouble by you! LOL...Have you been feeling well enough to ride your bike to work still? That's the only part about the warm weather..I want to be riding with someone!!:) Thankfully I am still friends with the man I just dated...so hoping that I can go for a ride or two soon...It's really hard on my neck..but I'll take the extra days of more pain because it's just something I can't give up! At least once in awhile!..

So hope you and your lovely wife are doing well...and how is your sister? I'll have to look for any posts by her!..
