Plantar Fasciitis Question

Hello All,

I was wondering if any of you have been diagnosed w/plantar fasciitis, tarsel tunnel syndrome, tibular tendonitis and/or adult onset flat foot.  I have all of these now and, although I am wearing braces (Richey for daytime) and dorsal splints for night, I am not finding great relief. 

If anyone is familiar with these conditions, I would be very interested in hearing of any successes or failures with treatment.  I've been seeing a podiatrist for a while with this feet thing, but even the things they gave me just don't get it all the time.  I've even gone online to a medical supply company and ordered a different type of splints for the problems (new night  and new daytime splints) but both ran small and had to be returned.  I'm waiting for the return on them now and hope I can soon say they have helped, but for now....well, it's more pain that I just don't want or need.

Thanks in advance for any imput about these conditions or possible treatments you may be able to give.

Hi i am pleased to meet you i am new from the UK and have had plantar fasceitise due to flat feet for at least 16 years !!! but we do tend to treat things here in the UK a lot different from most places

I had plaster casts of my feet made and then orthotics done from this for my shoes well i say shoes but there so large i live in my trainers (tennis shoes) when i first started with it i could not put my heel to the floor i walked on my toes for 6weeks it was in my left foot then and we dont move fast here in the UK LOL

But the instant relief i got from these spiecaly made orthotics was bliss and never need splints well my Doc said he would not suggest i slept in something like that because he feared it would make the prob worse ?

the strange thing even though i had orthotics made for both shoes and can never go with out them i cant understand why for about 3 weeks now would you believe my right heel is playing up putting my foot to floor in a morning is murder i must get to see the doc i am over due i guess LOL

oops sorry took over your post Hugs i do know the stretching exercises helped also if you put a can of coke in the freezer when cold sit and roll your foot backwards and forwards over it that helped too

i hope you find relief from this soon it is such a painful problem you have all my sympathy Hugs

I had plantar fascitis in my right foot and tried orthotics and 2 very painful cortisone shots right in the bottom of my heel. It was so bad I could barely walk and couldn't stand any pressure on my heel. Finally I decided to have surgery to release the tendon and it's been great ever since. I have to wear orthotics the rest of my life but I was wearing than anyway. I don't know how typical my case is or if that's of any help at all but that's my experience with it.
