Surgery for Damouthy1

Hi Becky Thank you for updating us on Shannon's surgery. It's good to hear that everything went well. I'm sorry that she's hurting so bad. I'm sending her well wishes and prayers.

Hi Loretta and Suzane....the one good thing about this...she had an excellent doctor for the surgery!!! One that is not afraid of the meds she is already on and one that understands that she will need additional meds to help with her pain! The doctor gave her vicodin.....which is a beginner med as far as pain meds go.....but it is a different make-up then her regular pain meds (oxy and percocet)....so added with her other meds....it should help her! So many docs say..."you are on enough pain meds....I am not going to give you more!" What they don't realize is those meds, just barely. get us through the day. Any additional pain is going to affect us just like people that don't take pain meds regularly!! She is hanging in there but having quite a bit of pain!! Thanks for caring!!
