All of my MRSA outbreaks have been on the left side of my body. That's important information.
I have suddenly developed a problem with my perfect right knee. I've not fallen, twisted, banged, injured this knee in any way, however it started being very painful last Friday/Saturday. Got better but yesterday and today is causing me more problems than I know how to handle. I can't figure it out.
My cultures came back clear in my wounds a couple of weeks ago. But, we all know that the clear cultures don't mean squat. Anyway...My knee isn't really "hot", it isn't red. It IS getting bigger and bigger by hour. Now I am wondering if I may have an infection in the knee joint. *fat heavy sigh* Osteomyelitis is the first thing that comes to mind.
Tenn(don't)Care did pick me up as of 8/29/11, so I have medical coverage--thank God. But, then, I've proven that this matters nothing to me, my health does. I don't have my cards yet to know what doctor they are going to force me to see, so I am thinking that I am going to have to go to the hospital in order to get some kind of initial dx and treatment. I hate that...but, I have to do what I have to do.
My question is this: With no wound anywhere near this joint, is this a high possibility? Thoughts?
I'm going to go to the E.R. in the morning. I hate this E.R. with a passion, but going anywhere else is too far a drive for my comfort. I want to go in with all of my ducks in a row, because that is the only way they half way take me seriously when I go in.
