Hi

I have been taking Cesamet for DDD cervical spine, for a week now.
I find it has helped my neuropathy and pain. I am also on Gabapentin.

I have a very low tolerance to most meds and get severe adverse reactions to all the opiates.

Wondering about others experience with Cesamet.

I did do a search and found posts a couple years old so am interested in more up to date info from you all on how well it controls your pain.

Hello sunflower7!

I know of only one member here who was taking this med, and I believe it worked quite well for Chronic Pain. We don't usually hear of it on the forum, but it is around.

I did ask my Dr about it, and he said he rarely uses it and then only on cancer patients.

I have been on Cesamet for about a year now. It has definitely helped me manage my pain levels, more-so than I could before I started taking it. I don't think it's caused too many side effects, but it's hard to know, because of the other meds I'm on.

Hi MsBunky, I tried it for Chronic back pain (Osteoarthritis) several months back, but seemed to get a euphoria from it, so my Pain Doc quickly took me off it. What is a good dosage for pain relief, I was on 1mg twice per day. Would like to try it again.

But if you can please notice the dates of certain threads, this one is from back in 2011 and no one has posted on since then. I have alerted a Mod as they will close/lock all old threads...

Hi Mr. PCMan, as Snowbunny has pointed out you have posted on a very old thread that has not had any activity in a long time. In fact this member no longer comes to the forum. If you would, start your own intro thread, that way all members will see it and be able to give you a proper hello & welcome aboard.

As with ay medication it is difficult to tell a person what dosage would be good for them because we all metabolize medications differently. None of us are doctors here and this type of question needs to be directed to your doctor. We just speak from our own personal experiences.
