Hi all,

I'm trying to make it back to the land of the living - long story short, it's been a long, long month. But I've missed you guys and wanted to check in and say hello.

Three weeks ago, I had some female surgery.... I got through that ok, but then I got a uterine infection and had to go in for 2 days for IV antibiotics. I was literally on death's doorsteps. I waited about 3 days too long to go in (I kept thinking I'd just get better). I arrived at the hospital dehydrated and very sick. After that, though, I've been on the mend and regaining strength and such each day. Hopefully, all of this will have been worth it and no more blood transfusions, etc.

Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts - and e-mails and such. It really meant a lot to me.

Re: my pain issues - I've decreased all my meds in order to have more mental clarity and such. I feel much better in that regard, but - of course - my pain issues are high. I'm trying to hang in here, though and see how I do. Maybe I can at least "reset" my pain baseline.

Other than that, the kids are good... the twins are now almost 14 months and RUNNING. It's a challenge to keep up w/ them (and all the other kiddos)... which is why I haven't been on here much.

Anyway - to all my friends - I miss you and hope to catch up. To anyone new, welcome to the board.

Tina, sweetie pie, so glad to hear that you are getting better, we were all very worried about you.  I am so glad and will continue to pray that you get better and better.  Running 14 month olds, AGHHHHHH my worse nightmare, lol I know you are up for it, but at 58, I only run if someone is chasing me.  (and that hasnt happened for a long while).

Hi Tina:) I have been thinking of you, and praying for you, and I was just going to write a thread asking how you are doing.

I'm glad that you're recovering. I don't know how you do it with so many little ones. You are Superwoman! I'm happy that your little ones are doing well, and I'm so glad that you wrote an update on how you are. I've been worried about you.

Hi Tina I'm so happy to hear from you. I have been so worried about you. It's so good that you're getting better.It's good to hear that your little ones are doing well. It sounds like the procedure helped. I sure hope so. Take care my friend. Love ya.

hi Tina ,glad your doing better now ,but spend the energy you do have with your kids!Also take it easy because if you can get the pain under controll now ,the next few months should not be so hard ,expessialy with xmas coming,its such a stressfull holiday ,shopping alone is such hurdle ,with all your kids it must be difficult.So happy things are better for you ,take care from Michele.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your kind words and encouragement - it means a lot and I appreciate all of you.

I can't believe the holidays are upon us again. In the chaos of having twin babies.... even though the days seemed like they would NEVER end - lol - this year has actually zipped by.

Kat - You make me laugh.... I wouldn't normally run, either, unless being chased - lol.

Flower - How are you and that sweet baby of yours? How are you feeling w/ everything? I've wondered, too, how you are doing....

Hi Tina:) I'm hanging in. It's been tough, to say the least, but I'm dealing. I feel pretty overwhelmed, because there's so much to do around the house, with doctor's appts., etc., but I'm trying to have faith that it will all be okay:)

So great to see you back. I also can't believe the holidays are upon us! I love Christmas though, so I'm excited about it, even though it brings stress, lol.

Just wanted to pop in here quickly and say hello to you Tina! We have missed you!

Glad to hear that you are doing much better! Please send me some of it my way…I could use it!

Also wanted to say hello to Flower123 as well, while I'm here. wink

We had our first ever felt earthquake last night at about 10:50pm. I had never experienced that before, and it was pretty scary.
I happened to be laying in bed, and it started rocking all by it's self! I thought maybe my ornery, but very loving wife was playing a trick on me.

When I got up to see if she was the cause of it, she was no where to be seen, and I found her up stairs with the grandson. I asked her if she felt it, and she said yes, and
pointed to the chandelier still swinging from it. I guess the center of it was in Oklahoma, near Oklahoma City, over 300 miles away. (5.2 or so)

I have to say it was one of the strangest things I have experienced in my life.

I'm still down and out, but had a better day today, and hope to be back soon to support once again.

Tina and Flower, it was lovely to see you both post!

So glad you are starting to feel better. That must be a load off your shoulders.
I can't imagine how you manage all your health issues and a large family.
