My wife has suffered from chronic pain for 20 + years. The location is referred to as the lower right quadrant. The pain comes and goes about every 3 hours and the morning is the worst pain. There has been not current diagnosis and have now takes 30 mg of morphine twice a day but still can not function normally when the pain continues. I feel that it is not helping and must be increased. I have must be away from people, remove outer clothing as if it is restrictive and either lies on the carpet or sits on the couch, leaning away from his right side. I can not have conversation at this time and tries to read magazines to control his thoughts. Only time changes this pain and when it is gone, he is back to normal. The only time the pain went away in 20 years was when he was hospitalized for histoplasmosis. We have list of doctors and pain clinics available I've been to, medications that have been tried and procedures that were tried. I did have some improvement when he was taking oxycontin and clonozopam, but the doctors did not want to continue with these drugs. They point out that these medicines are dangerous and Findrxonline.com mention that these drugs have side effects which can harm the health of my wife.

               Welcome to the Chronic Pain Forum!

         I'm a bit confused!...is it you or your wife who has the Chronic Pain?...you keep referring to "He" in your introduction here. I also just read one of your reply's to another member of ours and you mention Arthritis as a diagnoses...and here you said there is no diagnoses yet. Can you calrify some of this for us.

        I'm sorry to hear of the troubles with pain...and if your Dr's cannot diagnoses, then you might want to consider a "Teaching Hospital".

            It will help us greatly if you can give us a bit more information.

My wife has friend chronic pain. I suffer with arthritis...

        OK!...lets do this!....will you please rewrite your intro for the members here...so that we may understand who it is you are seeking help for. Your post is really difficult for me to read and understand...in all fairness to the members here....I would suggest wording it another way..so that all can understand what kind of help you are looking for.

      If any of the members understand better than I do...then please jump in and help us out here.

         I hope you will give it another try...and I'm sorry that I just cannot understand your post. My apologies to you.

It could be that this person has a condition called fibromyalgia, it's a real pain disease,
and he/she can get treatment for this from a good Rheumatiod Arthritis doctor..or a
pain management doctor...maybe have your friend come on here and introduce themselves to us either here or in
the fibromyalgia Forum...google it as well...there are newer medicines out that can treat/target
this pain better...many well wishes...
