Reoccuring right side (kidney pain?)HELP!

I am new to this so i hope i am posting in the right setion!!
Im 19yrs old,female,95 lbs,naturally thin.
Ok so about 2 to 3 ago i had a pain in my right side where the kidneys are located,i have had bladder infections before so i went straight to the doctor and the results were negative. Every time i would sit down they would sort of "throb" and the discomfort went down to my ovary it felt like. a week after the dr visit it passes (she said it could be a muscle) well here we are a few weeks later and the pain is back! im a little worried because i have no idea what it could be. i have no burning sensation when going to the bathroom and i urinate normally. It mainly hurts when sitting down and every now and then it gets a sharpISH feeling like its inflamed then it goes away. I plan to make a dr visit but just wanna get some options...is it even my kidneys?

It could also be your appendix...sometimes it presents a few weeks earlier and then bursts...I'd get that checked out...usually doctors like to remove it before that happens...do the "jump" test...if it hurts to jump it is most likely appendicitus...do you have fevers with this pain? Did the dr give u pain meds?

Gluck. You may want to just go to the ER and let them run tetsts to figure it out as oppose to waiting for it to get worse!

I'm so sorry you're suffering from this type of pain, or any pain for that matter. I agree with others that you need to get a diagnosis and begin some treatment if it's available. It could be muscular which would likely be non-life threatening or it could be something much more serious. I'm not saying any of this to frighten you...you've probably already been frightened enough. But I do want to encourage you to get some answers.

Several years ago we had 2 members who suffered from similar pain as yours and they had something called LPHS. I'm not saying you have this but it's another condition you should likely explore with your doctor(s). LPHS (Loin Pain Hematuria Syndrome) is hard to describe so I'll give you a couple of links to read about it. But it's basically pain in the loin area (kidney area) with hematuria (blood in the urine). This is a very rare disorder and not totally understood but it's another in a long list of reasons why you might be suffering from such pain.

At your young age you need to find out what is going on so you can get on with life. Please keep us posted ...

You may want to also visit our kidney forum, there may be some members there that have this same disease. We have had members in the past that suffered with this disease. Also, another option is to use our search feature here at the forum. it is located at the top on the right, type LPHS and some posts should come up about this.
