Yea, the dr finally change my meds!!
I really hope the new stuff works, however, without insurance, and using my rxdiscountcard, I still paid $423.44 for a one month supply for One med...Luckily, my dad has offered to pay for it this month... Phew....
So I have contacted the patient advocate at the clinic to get help applying for the patient assistance program from the manufacturer.... Hope I can get approved to get my med for free starting next month!

I really hope this helps!! Good luck getting the med through the manufacturer. My father-in-law was able to do that with all of his meds (before he passed away). It made a world of difference in his life because he was able to get the help he needed and it didn't cause problems with his disability payments or medicare/medicaid (can't remember which). He was disabled because he fell through a metal grinder at work and lost his let from just above the knee. He never got over the PTSD or the pain and had serious medical problems until he died (car accident) a few years ago. His Dr did everything on the paperwork and he was even able to use the programs to get his insulin and all his medical supplies. The company provided prostetic legs (including the C leg....computer type leg that you plugged in like a cell phone at night). I never even knew he didn't have a leg until I was there one day with my husband and he had his leg off. I was really shocked because he walked perfectly with the exception of a slight limp.
That was probably TMI, but it was possible for him to use several of the companies to get his meds for free and it was a miracle fo him. If you take more than one brand name, I would seek out every participating company for help. I know lillycares was one of the programs he used and there were at least three more.
Good luck!!!

Donna hope the switch helps you. I've found if you go to a private mom and pops RX its cheaper than a CVS or Walgreens. For example for myself.. I was getting 180 percocets at CVS it was $258 and the private it was $101. But I would look into what the others have suggested too. Call around and get prices if you haven't already. Good luck!
