I know everyone is so busy at this time of year, but we are all thinking of you and hope to hear from you...... Sore, Heather Lynn, Educ8athome, Chutz, Flower123, Monty's Mom, Petey, Jim, Nini, Tina (she has no computer at the moment) just to name a few.

Thanks for posting:) How are you doing, Suzane? I'm okay. Waiting for this baby to arrive, lol. He is surely exhausting me, and he is not even here yet! Back pain is worse than ever, but dealing with it the best that I can.

I love this time of year though. It's cold where I am, and I'm hoping to see some snow this year. Temps have been above average though, so we'll see. Love the white stuff, even though it does a number on my back and I usually end up in terrible flares.

How have you been? How are you feeling?

It's nice to hear from you Flower. When is your baby due? are you ready for the big arrival? I assume you know it's a boy due to your wording. do you have any names picked out yet? I sure hope you are managing your pain ok. I imagine they have decreased or perhaps stopped some of your meds?

I love snow as well. We got a good dumping on Xmas day and more Tues. night. But now they are calling for rain on Friday so it will probably all disappear. We have had an unusual mild winter so far. Where do you live? I hope you will get some snow.

Myself, there is no change in my pain. i am working very hard on accepting that this is the way it's going to be and trying to make the best of each day. It's not easy but there is nothing about the pain i can change. I can change how i go about my day and trying to stay positive. I am trying to bury myself in my scrapbooking, going to classes so i can socialize (as chronic pain brings about my loneliness) and visiting with my grandchildren now and again. Right now i have a bad cold and it just increases the head pain if that is possible. So I continue, one day at a time.

It was great to hear from you. Can't wait to get some news that your baby has arrived.

Yes, we found out that we're having a boy:) He is due in about a month. It's coming so soon. We're not sure on names yet, but we've a few picked out. Yeah...pain has been tough to deal with, but I'm really excited to meet him! It's so funny, because both my husband and I can't picture what he will look like! I can't wait to meet him. I basically slept on and off all day today, and also ate a ton! Love eating, lol!

I'm sorry your pain is still the same. It's great though that you are going to classes to socialize. Pain can be so isolating. I hope that your cold gets better quickly. There always seems to be a bug going around.

That's great that you scrapbook. I do too:) It's so much fun, isn't it? Hugs from me!

Congrats flower! One of the things I did (well a few years later) is I tossed fruit loops/cherrios in the toilet and told him they were enemy space ships (he loved star wars at the time) and walla! he learned how to pee standing up.

If you cuss, put a jar out and make it the swear jar. You can't touch the money, it is for your child's college fun. A quater goes in every time you swear, sooner or later, you will stop cussing!

Now for now, do yourself a big favor and cook up a storm. Make home made tv dinners. Also you NEVER will have enough Diapers or Wipes. I suggest cloth diapers. I love cloth diapers because I can just wash them (alone, only the load was diapers) and I have more diapers instead of all those plastic ones. And You can actually make your own cloth diapers with old recieving blanks too, as they grow bigger. You can use the small one you have, as an outline, make the same style just a few inches bigger, sew it together and you got a bigger sized diaper.

One of my fav baby shower gifts is diapers and wipes because I know it wont be just for awhile to look cute, but it will be a very well needed all the time thing.

for the time to start solids: make your own baby food and save tons of money. Just take a little of Ie: peas and some water and blend til apple sauce consistency, and so on.

flower, I can't believe you are due so soon. I hope the pain stays manageable and I will pray for a smooth delivery and a wonderful transition to motherhood. You must be so excited to meet him!

I'm doing okay. We are traveling on the East Coast for the holidays. We were at my mom's house, now are at my aunt's in Vermont, then to Boston to see friends, back to Mom's house, and finally home to Michigan.

I've managed to keep up on my PT and am feeling fairly good. Using very few BT meds, although I'm sure a lot of that is not having to sit the 8 hours at work. The second to last time I went to PT she mobilized my SI joint and then used something called a "percussor" that has had a long-lasting effect. Relief is so liberating. My main problem right now is anxiety. I have been having panic attacks and ended up in the ER after having on while driving on the freeway. It was one of the scariest things of my life. They adjusted my meds at the ER and in a follow up appointment with my psychiatrist. I am doing much better now and just trying my best to keep life stressors in perspective.

Hope everyone else is doing well, and hope to hear updates when people are able to check in.

Heather you are doing lots of travelling. I am glad you are feeling better. What a relief that must be for you. I remember you saying you were moving. Has that happened yet? and do you need to look for a new job? I am glad you have your anxiety under wrap now, that must be difficult to handle along with the chronic pain. But you sound much better and that is a big plus.
Flower you sound so excited for your baby to arrive. I am glad as this will bring you a new focus once the baby arrives. What is your due date? you don't have much longer to wait now. Yes i do love scrapbooking and card making as well. I am trying to focus on this to take my mind away from the pain. I always wear my ice packs on my head as it's the only vice I have. When I go to my scrapbooking classes I bring my ice packs with me. I have a craft room now that actually is probably a scrap store, i have so much eye candy in there, lol.

Flower! I am so glad to see you, and you sound so excited about your baby boy! I pray that your waiting time feels short and for a safe delivery. I have two boys, and I remember how much fun they were to watch grow. Now they are at the stage where my husband is more of the focus and I am just a bystander, but I have many wonderful baby-memories.

Heather, I am sorry to hear of your panic attacks, as I am having them too. Its good you got your meds adjusted and are having such relief with PT and traveling. I am hoping that your move goes smoothly. Its coming in a few weeks, right?

Happy New Years, to all, and many, many more to follow, heres hoping all are feeling well and, I for one am glad they are over, (well mostly except New Years,) As most times I am either asleep or trying to sleep, I give my thanks to all and start all over again, with a much better attitude.  So Have a great New Year and many many more to come.

I'm still here...and thanks for asking. I've been in a 'low' and this time of year is so busy and draining that I haven't been in touch with much of anyone. I'm like a shy kitten when I'm hurting and I curl up and hide. Been trying to push myself out of the corner and am beginning to succeed. Thanks for caring.

Chutz, sorry to hear you are having a hard time. I totally understand just wanting to curl up and hide when you are hurting. This is especially true for me in the winter - getting out and doing things just feels so hard.

I hope you are able to do little things to nurture yourself and restore your energy. I find a 10 minute walk in the sunshine (if it's not icy) does wonders for me. I've been trying to fit in yoga too, but life has just been so crazy and busy.

I have been so busy and distracted and not checking in much. We are in the midst of moving. A few weeks ago my PT did some magical adjustment to my SI that has lowered my pain substantially, but it is beginning to wear off. So I need to be very vigilant to not overdo it with the moving stuff.

Movers come Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday we do a million errands and home repairs, and Friday we leave for a week in Costa Rica. I hope the Costa Rica trip is both exciting and rejuvenating - lord knows I need it. On Jan 31st we're off to the big city for the next chapter in our life!

Good luck on your huge move Heather, wow, I want to go to!!!! I called my PM and they suggested yoga, for help with my medication vacation, I wanted to suggestion a position back to her, but I am going to do it, it can only help.
Chutz, I feel the same way, but I just can not seem to get my butt all the way under the couch. I am new here but talk a lot, anytime you want to talk each other out of hiding places I would be glad to.
