anxiously awaiting workmans comp settlement check

 Hello

Jan 10,2012 was my hearing for my settlement with workmans comp.  I get loss wages in one check and another check for a MSA which is medical for my traumatized leg.

No arrival of any check yet.  I signed the paper that said I wouldnt sue again so I should get my checks within 2 weeks I was told by my lawyer.

I havent had oil heat for 1 week and we have been wearing our coats in the house.  Sp when I get one of the checks Im calling the oil delivery ppl to get the tank filled up.

With me being cold I hurt so bad .  Cant get on top of the pain yet. 

I have another law firm waiting until  I get my checks and then I can go after the manufactuer of the belt loader.  That thing needs to be redesigned.  Im the one to get it done.

The next 2 days will see what is in the mail. I really want heat in my house I dont want my pipes to freeze.

I am running an elextric heater in our livingroom but keep in mind that we have 12 ft ceilings and it is a civil war house. Doorways between the rooms very chopped up. No open floor plan here. My house in Fl is open floor plan. Last year I used my wheelchair in that house. I rolled from room to room. It was great.

I have a heater in the basement running. Alot of pipes are exposed in the basement ceiling.

I cant leave until I get my 2 checks so I can bank them in a particular way. So Ill get to Fl when the checks come .

Well Guess What?

The smaller of my 2 checks came in the mail today. Big enough to totally fill the oil tank. Bank put a one day hold on the check. I will still have several thousand left over after filling the oil tank. That is comforting.

I called my lawyer to ask when did the bigger check get sent out? No return call yet?

As soon as I get the other check I will bank it and then book a flight to Ft Myers,Fl.

I'm so glad things are finally looking up for you! You have been in pain way too long and the added stress of dealing with money problems is so overwhelming.

It's so very nice when things work out for one of our own like thisl

Don't forget to hold back any taxes due on the money you have or will receive, though. I don't know anything about taxes and perhaps this is not taxable, but I'd hate for you to have something very stressful on your back again so soon after the relief of your new income.

My lawyer said that the w/c rep returned her email and stated that the medical check the huge amount will be cut on wednesday and sent out on Thursday.I will probably receive the check on Tuesday.

I bought my husbands airline ticket he leaves PA on 2-9-12 and I will try to get out of PA next Friday.

I bought my little boy sheltie a sweater since he doesnt have any underlayment of soft white fur. He shivers when he is cold.

I will try to get on chat tonight for a short time
