….well it sounds like you have a very nasty cold there! You know of course that we cannot diagnose your problem, but I will suggest that you seek medical attention soon. It could be that your problem is related to your illness….but again you need to let a professional take a peek at it. The fix could be as simple as a round of Antibiotics….or if it's a virus…just let it run it's natural course.

Again, I would seek a Dr as soon as possible. Were sorry you are suffering….and sometimes the symptoms that come along with a cold like this may seem pretty odd.

Thank you for replying. My whole spine hurts and I cannot turn my head side to side or touch my chin to my chest still. I also have a pimple like red sore on top of my gum in the back of my mouth. That has been there for a few days now.

I agree Cassie!…you really need to get into a Dr ASAP! Please don't put something like this off….it might be simple…but then again…you never know.

My sedimentation rate on the blood work results were elevated. I got the paper in that explained it a little. I called my dr and the nurse said the average sedimentation rate is 0-20 and mine was 60. The sedimentation rate is elevated from inflammation. The dr still does not know what is causing the inflammation. The sedimentation rate is ESR. CRP is the same thing in regards to inflammation so the CRP is elevated too? I am confused still of what is going on. Any ideas?

When I've been at my sickest, my sed rate runs really high.... it can be lots of different things.... it just means that "something" is causing inflammation in your body.

What does your doctor say about all of this? Has he/she talked about sending you to a rheumatologist?

Screaming Eagle: Yes my dr is leaving me haning. When the nurse told me that my sedimentation rate is 60, she did not seem to want me to get another appointment with dr to do more tests. Don't know why. The normal range is 0-20 she said and mine is 60. That is not normal and there is something going on. My wrists keep hurting and other joints in my body hurt and I woke up this morning with a pounding headache and left arm pain in my inner arm.

Snowbunny21: Seeing a Rheumatologist would probably be a good solution since my dr is not helping me. I don't know though what tests they can do to find out what is causing my sore joints. It has been like that for 4 weeks now. I do have some good days where the pin is not too bad, and then bad days where the pain is bad.

I seem to aggravate my wrists when I use them or if I move alot I aggravate my joints too. So maybe it is inflammation that hurts when it gets aggravated?

I would suggest that you go to a different doctor. The symptoms suggest infection, maybe even meningitis. See a doctor who is willing to do the tests and prescribe antibiotics. In my experience, urgent care doctors are more pro-active than GPs.
