Well, first off...Welcome!
Secondly...you'd be amazed at what you can be capable of handling when you have to. (That's physically and mentally.)
My hips dislocate from their sockets. It sounds like the ball of your hip joint might be "slipping" out of place slightly (hence the clicking sound) and that maybe you've caught or pinched a nerve/tendon.
When you've got inflammation/nerve involvement in the hip area it can cause the pain to radiate to all the places you described.
It also limits your flexibility/mobility. IE you're only able to move your leg so far and then there's a shooting stabbing pain; or it feels like your hip is "stuck"
When things get aggravated and inflamed, the only thing that really helps the pain is reducing the inflammation.
So an anti-inflammatory would probably be good for you.
Sometimes messing with one body part can affect another. If the procedure you had changed your gait or affected your walking patterns and mobility (which I'm sure it did) then that could be what caused your sudden hip pain.
Trust me...I know what you're going through...when my hips "pop" out of place...it hurts like nothing else I've ever felt, and usually I end up having to try and get the ball to slip back where it should be by moving the affected leg etc. Usually I can do it myself or have someone else move my leg for me, but sometimes things don't always go back to feeling like they should, or in the process I pinch something, or aggravate things and have to deal with the pain for days afterward.
I use an anti-inflammatory to help treat the issue.
You will get through this, just hang in there. None of us here are wimps...but sometimes even we need a little help or encouragement, that's just being human.
My hips dislocating is actually the least of my issues...believe me when I tell you that if you just keep going, and keep waking up in the morning, things will get better, even if it's in ways you least expect when you least expect them
In my opinion, it's a lot easier for the body to deal with chronic pain, than it is for the mind. Staying positive is SO important, but it's SO hard sometimes. Keep your chin up, we're all here for you. Hopefully you'll get in touch with someone soon and they can give you a professional opinion on the issue.
Again, Welcome!!!
