Hi Everyone

 

I went back to my Pm clinic after seeing my ortho surgeon and i told her that the meds arent touching the pain in my knee and that I discontinued physical therapy for now.  She decided to give me onycontin 40 mg thank goodness and upped my gabapentin to 600mg 3 times a day and then I can join a YMCA andmove slowly in a pool for older ppl.

Hope this helps you Betsey. You will love the pool. I really enjoy my aquafitness classes i take at my gym. This one lady is so hilarious that even in my bad pain she makes me laugh. Let us know how it all goes with your new meds.

Hope that helps Betsey. The only way I can exercise is in the pool, it is unbearable otherwise. I love hydrotherapy, so relaxing yet gives you a good workout too. Good to work with other people too, as Suzane says it is fun and you can have a laugh as well.

I turned in my oxycontin 40 mg script today and it isnt in stock.  They need to order it in and it will be here friday.  So I still have unrelenting pain.

 

It was raining here all day today.  How about in your areas?

 

My husband and I are fighting about our repairs of the motorhome.  He keeps harping on it with no quiet time in the near future.  I yell back after listening to him.  Im sitting still and letting him abusive me verbally.  He can leave as far as Im concerned.Im really in a foul mood!!!

 

Sorry family.

 

Hes sitting on the couch like Jabbadahut in StarWars.

 

Well I can also give him a cold shoulder.

Betsey, I have went on several occasions and been turned away when trying to fill my prescription because they had ran out. Luckily there are several pharmacies in my area and so far I haven't had to do without. Might be a good idea to let them know you will be refilling monthly with them. It seems as if most of the pharmacies keep only a minimum supply on hand. Good luck with the change in meds. Hopefully you will get some relief.

I got a call from my pharmacy and they told me that 6 miles away that the same name of pharmacy has in stock my oxycontin. So I picked it up and took one pill. 2 hours later no pain. Thank the heavens.

That even put me in a good mood for a change.

The cost was 453.00 for 60 pills. That was at a 20% discount.

Yikes!!!!....I guess you don't have insurance????

As soon as the generic for Oxycontin expired a few years ago....I switched to MSContin as there is no way in the world I could afford paying for Oxycontin out of pocket!...

I now take 5 medications...

60 pills of MSContin at 30mg
60 pills of MSContin at 15mg to supplement when needed
240 OxyIR at 5mg because it's less expensive than Roxicodone in higher doses
60 pills of Flexeril a muscle relaxant at 10mg
30 pills of Ambien, one 10mg at night

All of these are generic and I pay $140 a month for everything out of pocket without insurance......The two MSContins of 120 pills are only $79....

So....just an example that unless you are much more well off financially than most people...I would switch to another extended release next month....

I am so pleased that at last you have some relief. I pray it lasts and you are able to do all the things that you want to, don't overdo it though!!Lol

The cost is mind blowing to me, I am on oxycontin also, lower dose as well as fentanyl and I pay nothing, zero, nil. Unbelievable that you have to pay so much. Seems like a penalty for being ill. Do insurance reimburse you or will you be put of pocket every time you fill a prescription?

No insurance for me and it is out of pocket. Next month I will discuss meds finacial end with PM doc and see what she can write me that is less expensive.

I soaked in my hot tub and tried to bend my knee and worked on trying to straighten it out. The warmth of the water felt good.

I am so tired from 2 days in our rv and 2 dogs to take care of. I need to find easy recipes for when he works at the track

My washer at home developed a leak so when the water hit the drum of the washer it flowed from the bottom of the washer and slowly engulfed my entire kitchen floor. I placed big towels down on the pool of water and statred to sop of the flood. The repairman will be here monday. I hope it wont be expensive.

My knee hurts so bad...result of to much standing this weekend. monday I need to take it easy
