Very rough day

I'm very upset and angry at the moment. So tired of being made fun of because I can't do things others can do. Along with all my pain I'm overweight. Which makes life even harder.

Today was very rough. It started with my aunt coming over to help clean my house. My house isn't dirty, I keep up what I can. The floors are clean the dishes are done and the bathroom is always clean. My family is ultra insanely clean. If you can't eat off their floors or out of their toilet bowls the house isn't clean enough. It sounds like I'm kidding but I'm not. (last year I once caught my aunt vacuuming their front yard...OUTSIDE...)

Anyway my aunt was stressing me out digging through my closet (I don't even know why) and pulling everything out. Like a concert t-shirt I'd had signed by the band. So I'm freakin out telling her to leave it alone before she got cute and washed it. Oh and she had me moving this and that around (like furniture) so I was in a lot of pain. (i'm not supposed to lift anything but I just wante4d it to stop.) That's how I spent the morning/early afternoon.

Late afternoon my sister and her fiancee brought me a full size bed to replace my twin bed. Seems they forgot some parts so my uncle came over with clamps to put it together. Well it's kinda low to the ground so once it's together they decide I can't get out of the bed because of my back. Or that I'd break it because of my weight.

So my aunt has me lay on the bed with the whole bunch of them making fun of me the whole time. It didn't break and I managed to get up just fine but the whole thing was horribly embarrassing. I told them this is why I lived far away for a long time.

So, I have a new bed and maybe I shouldn't complain but today was hell.

You are so right! I have to watch Auntie like a hawk lol

Kaely, I'm so sorry that your family is treating you like that. I too am overweight, but my hubby says that its just more to love. 8-)

We don't actually have "family" anymore; my family and my husbands family was so bad that we have actually cut off all contact. its been 13 years with my family (there was a death, long story) and its been 3 years without hubbs family; and we are finally able to be happy, no longer do we have to worry if they're going to stop by, or stop by when we're not home etc.

I'm sorry your having such a hard time. People can be cruel but family can be the cruelest of all. I have a mother who has said so many cruel and hurtful things that I always feel embarrassed when I have her over and other people are around because I'm never sure what she will say. She constantly complains about something or someone and wonders why even her grand kids have started to shy away from her. I guess we all have those relatives we wish we didn't have. Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth and wish you all the best and tell you to stay strong. Sometimes people just won`t give you respect unless you demand it. You are who you are and if they don`t like it...that`s their problem. Hope you feel better soon. All the best.

They caught me at a weak point yesterday, usually I just ignore them. I was tired and hurting and they got to me.

I have 3 kitties and they help me a lot. Watching them tumble around the house usually keeps my spirits up :)

Alsoinpain, yes, thanks today is better. My kitties usually keep me smiling. I had one cat. Then my niece got a kitten that unfortunately grew so she didn't want her anymore, so then I had two cats. Then my aunt started feeding a stray cat and it got cold as winter approached last year so now I have 3 cats. I told my family that none of them are allowed to have cats anymore because I'm awfully close to crazy cat lady status.

I woke up this morning with the former stray cat lying next to me. When he saw me watching him he started to purr. It's a good start to any day :)
