Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me. I am 34 and have had chronic pain since the right hip replacemant. I had my first THR in January of 2010. Things seemed to be going well, but then the pain began to get worse. I was constantly having pain, numbness, trouble walking, locking sensation, giving out, etc. Dr. did many different tests and finally he injected my ilospas tendon. I was able to be pain free for one day and then back to the same issues. So, he thought that the hip needed a revision. In January 2011, a THR revision was done. Dr. repositioned the cup and cut my ilospas tendon. During this procedure I contracted bacterial meningitis. After a long hospital stay I was released. I am still in constant pain and now the hip is crunching or cracking (like if you crack your knuckles) if I move certain ways. I have been to three different ortho drs. (two of which I go to find out worked with the original dr who did the hip replacement and will NOT go in any way against the original dr). I just gotback my bone scan/nucleaur test and all is normal. X-rays look good. No infection. But I am in pain and having difficulty with this hip. I would want to get back to a normal life. If anyone has any suggestions or have been thru anything similar please contact me. There is a long history to the pain, I only wrote the info since the hip replacement. Please help!
