Anyone Remember Me?

Hey Everyone... I was on this forum a while ago but had to take a break because everything got too hard!! IM BACK NOW!! Anyone remember me? :) If not... I'll start an intro post!!

Hey Flower!

At the moment I'm not great.. They finally figured out why I kept getting so many different problems and all the pain and everything that was happening! I have systemic lupus, and lupus nephritis. It's damaged my intestines which is why I have lots of pain there. I also have CFS and a few other conditions to do with lupus. I don't know if you remember but I went through lots of chemo for a cancer at one stage, but that is all good and has been for over a year now :)

I actually was really sick the last few weeks.. I had a kidney infection that wouldn't respond to treatment, so I was pretty rundown and then got some other infection in my body that got my appendix, part of my intestine, one ovary and one fallopian tube and caused a bleed in my abdomen/pelvic area. So had them removed and my pelvis drained.. Hopefully it's all cleared up now, just have to wait for the surgery pain to go :( it was pretty scary.. When i first went in my pulse was about 160 lying down, temp was 40 and my oxygen levels dropped to 85 at one point, and i was all alone so no nurses could help me and I was in too much pain I couldn't reach the buzzer!! But eventually they came and freaked out and I was monitored so closely after that!

How have you been? I'm sorry forgive me for not remembering.. Whats your condition? And how has it been lately?

I have never met you, I don't think, but I just wanted to say hi.

You have been through so much for a young woman, I am so sorry you have been faced with all that. I sincerely hope better times are ahead and you can enjoy some better health.

From the little I know about lupus, I understand that has many challenges. You sound as though you are doing very well, you should be proud of yourself to have coped with all that and school, and to have got good grades too.

Welcome Back! I do remember you, and all the problems you were having for such a young lady!  I am happy to see that you are still here and back posting, I wondered what happened to you! So many times a person leaves and we never hear from them again! I personally think it is sad, because it leaves you wondering what ever happened to tha person.  There was a lady from the Austrailian out back I think, she was called Snowflake, I have often wondered what ever happened to her, and if she was alright, she also had cancer.  Anyway I am glad your back posting, when you get to feeling better please fill us in a bit on how you have been doing.

I remembery you too!!  I had also wondered what happened to you and if you made it through the treatments.  You had so many conditions and were so young. 

I'm glad you have come back to see us again.  I don't post much anymore, but I still check in from time to time....for me, the board is a place I can come when I need the people here.....either to help me or for me to help them.

I'm so happy for you and I think your decision is great about school...it makes it so much easier if you have a plan and this one makes great sense.  Sorry about the Lupus Diagnosis, but at least you know what is going on now.

I think you were on here when I first started but you were very I'll. I am glad they finally figured out your diagnosis. From what I have heard from a friend of mine who has the same diagnosis it certainly takes a lot of tests to confirm it.

I am glad you are doing better and are once more able to be part of this community. It's nice to have a place to support others and to receive non judgmental support from others.

Hi Buttercup I remember you. I am so happy to hear that you are cancer free, but sad that you have Lupus. At least you do know what's going on. I'm sorry you had such a bad infection, but am glad that you are doing better now. Take care.

Let's hope for lots of good days. Just take each day as it comes. Getting over all you have been through will take time. You sound so positive, that is good.
