MARBLES ALONG BONES

Hi everyone, I'm new here.

My mom has these tiny little balls, like marbles, under her skin, along the bones on her legs. When pain is gone, so are the little balls. When the pain returns, here come the marbles. Her doctor tells her that it's just rheumatism (???).

Has anybody experienced anything of the kind? Please, help solve the mystery.

Welcome to the board MVE, if the doctor says it's part of her RA than it's probably rheumatoid nodules, I got tested for that when I was a kid, turned out it was a couple of lypomas that went away when I was a teenager. They usually show up on connective tissues around joints, but I was told that they can show up anywhere, even in the lungs and on the vocal cords. I don't remember if the nodules are a sign of the diseases progression or not, but I would suggest you interrogate the doctor about it, at the next visit. I really think thas unprofessional for a doctor to just blow something off without an explanation.
