It sounds, as Susie said, like you may need to meet with your tech. I don't know what level your leads are at - but mine are around T12-L2/3 (I have ANS/St Jude though, not Medtronic), and at that level I get a lot of variation with position - whether I am sitting, lying, whatever. If you are very sensitive, a good sitting/standing/walking program can be excruciating when you lie flat.

I'm sure this is a silly question, but have you tried reducing your settings yourself? I do have separate programs for sitting and lying if I choose to use them, but mostly all I need to do is turn a single program up or down in intensity depending upon my body position...if I try to lie down with my 'sitting' setting, it feels like my back and legs have been fried. I know Medtronic have now come out with a new adaptive stim to help combat this problem.
