I (as well as most of you I'm sure) seem to be stuck in this nasty cycle. Doctors keep saying.. We need to get your anxiety under control. It should help with the pain while we try to find the problem.

Well doc, lets see. My anxiety is triggered by the pain(a lot of the time), or the fact I had to miss another day at work because your over booked and cant see me today(even if I made this apt a week ago) Now my anxiety level is up, my pain level goes up. This goes on and on and on. So now I'm sitting in a corner grrring at the world, on the edge of a panic attack because the cat just kicked litter on the floor. (Yes I have been at that point) Jumping every ones butts because I'm in pain my anxiety is through the roof, and your room is not clean. And lets not even talk about the people at work.

Anyone know of a trick to break it? Some trick I am missing?? I really dont want to be on the next episode of snapped.

Sorry for the random vent in the middle. lol

Hi Bella, sorry to read things are in such limbo for you right now. I am guessing the dr has not told you what he thinks is wrong. Its hard when they do this to us. I am with you, get my pain level down & you will see my anxiety level drop too. How hard is that to figure out??? Hopefully you will get some answers soon.

And all too often the doctors tell us if we just "relax" and just "get our anxiety down" that THAT will in turn, reduce our pain,...

@straydog they keep saying it looks and sounds autoimmune, now its 5 million test.
Let me stick you 12 times for 1 test. Oh not that one? Ok stick, test. Uggg

Because I dont have inc, my dr limits test so as not to put me in to bad of a bind. But there in turn is another cycle. I can't get the tests I need due to lack of inc.. If I got a diagnosis I could get state help, that would cover test. That I would not need because I would have a diagnosis.

Someone tell me it gets better. Lol

I totally understand, I have several auto-immune diseases and getting to the bottom of it all is so time consuming and takes forever it feels like. Mine were straight forward at least, my testing confirmed everything so there was no need to guess at anything. I have seen it where the tests confirmed nothing & the dr would treat based on symptoms. I have a problem with that for me. Do you mind sharing exactly what they are looking at with you?

They have told me it could be anything from vitamin deficiency, to autoimmune to fibro. It started after I had a nasty infection in my breast. The dr said that it my have cased something or been the first sign. I go to a local clinic and in middle of all this, my doctor moved. I was switched to a new one. She tested ANA, vitamin D and B12. Took me 2 weeks, an office drop by and 4 messages to get the resaults. Said my vitamin D was low. Never said how low. Just told me to take supplements. When I called back to ask about switching Dr again (because either her or her nurse or both seem to have little care) I found out my old dr didn't move after all. I have an appointment with her tomorrow. I want to look at the test results and get a full explanation on them, and set up a plan of attack so to speak.
I think the clinic has moved all of its pain management to their sister office. Thats another thing I will find out tomorrow. I believe the only drs there now are GP. Half of me hopes the other dr read something wrong, and it will all be better tomorrow. I know life is not that eazy. I have learned, reading over some posts and comments, that there are a number of tests they have yet to run. Oh how I love the wait game.

Hello Bella and welcome to the Chronic Pain forum! Well I can definitely say many of us know exactly what your talking about. Until I got a defined diagnosis years ago I was in a mess. Always in pain, worrying, trying this med that med and for awhile they almost had me convinced I was imagining it all!

Once we knew I wasn't and I had a plan and a routine of sorts the correct meds at the correct dose things started falling into place and my anxiety decreased immensely.

So keep fighting and pushing for all the rights and hopefully once you do everything else will settle down!

Its not a quick trip and can sometimes take multiple Drs and tests but will be well worth the battle.

Good luck and keep seeking the support of the HW forums as this can be a real stress reliever.

I go through spells. I have been known to crave attention. Am I just being a diva? Wanting eyes on me? My brother and I refer to that voice in the back of your head, ya know the one that talks crap all the time, as our "crazy". That voice that makes you think your hubby is cheating, or your wife is flirting with your boss. That's your crazy. Well I wonder if mine has fully taken over. If my crazy is just telling me I'm in pain. It must be my crazy that makes my head spin and the weakness I feel. Then I think, there is no amount of crazy that can conjure this much crap.
I hide things when I can, to avoid the looks from family and friends. I fake smiles to make them happy. Heck I have replied to some posts on here, then deleted them because "I dont have the knowledge everyone else has on the matter, who am I to respond".

Hello.

It's not always about what you know, or even how much you know on a subject that makes you a valuable contributor. In fact, MOST of the time...it's just us supporting eachother in whatever way we can. So never be afraid to post if you feel moved to...who knows...you could make that person's day just by responding...just by being yourself.
