oral nerve damage by dentist

Looking for others in this condition. There used to be oral nerve damage forum that was hacked a few years ago. anyone from that site here?

I worked as a chairside dental assistant for 36 years.  How can I HELP YOU?

 

Do you need a root canal?  Do you have pain?  Did he drill to deep and filling is right on top of pulp?

Dear Betsey, No I am not in need of a root canal. I had lingual nerve repair surgery after molar extraction in 2001. Im not dying from the pain anymore. I just wonder how the 1000,s of others from that forum are doing these days. Were you part of that group? If not glad to hear you exist anyways and can offer some info if needed.

Oh hey there. Ya, pretty sure my endo totally screwed me (accidental) and I now have fibro. Very loooong and complicated story but my fibro doc (rheumatologist) has basically said that it was the beginning if the end. I don't think he screwed up the rest of my nerves but he had to do the root canal twice and I am pretty sure it was infected both times...and might possibly be still infected almost a year later.

I'm so sorry that you're going through whatever you're going through. I don't know a thing about the dental industry other than I had to fight really hard for the endo to take me seriously and he still didn't until I had my referring dentist verbally kick his ***. So do what you have to! It's your mouth/teeth/life. And I am a perfect example of what can happen when teeth issues get out of hand.

My RA and I are considering extraction next year when I get my dental benefits again. Would love to hear how I can be more proactive during that process if you have some best practices based on your experience. :)

Worth a mention,...when I had all my teeth extracted and got dentures, most of my chronic inflammation also went away and my health improved greatly.

Didn't affect the CP much, but to feel a (relatively) more healthy body after that process is truly,....priceless.

Infected teeth affect the entire body. So when you get the offending teeth removed your body feels better.
Sometimes the roots of molars impinge upon a nerve and when the molar is extracted the nerve becomes damaged.A repair to a nerve is involved,no wonder you were miserable.
