Hi Mike what kind of dosage are you on, allot of times when you have nausea and vomiting from a opioid pain med, it is because of dosage. Allot of times one is started off on a low dose not just because the doctor doesn't wants to give you more than what is needed to control your pain, but also, allot of patients don't tolerate strong or high dose pain meds right away! It often makes them sick with nausea and vomiting. Starting off on a lower dosage can prevent this, and as your body adjust it is then slowly increased in strength. However the draw back with that is, allot of times the lower dosage does not take care of the pain well enough. Zofran is effective for allot of people, but it is rather expensive. There are several different
antiemetic medications available, some work better than others, just depending on the person! Just like pain meds everyone is different, and what works for one might not work for another! I do hope that you can find something or some way to get this under control, as it, is bad enough to have to deal with the pain, and then to have to cope with nausea and vomiting, just makes it a hundred times worse!
Good luck to you and I do hope you can get this under control soon!
