That might change very soon with the Norco (Hydrocodone/apap) as it will likely be changing to a Schedule 2 med.
This is where it's helpful to have Drs. as many of us do, hand us two actual prescript
ions at a time when we leave the appt. for our Schedule 2 meds. We only fill one at a time, the other one is dated to be filled the next month.
So, let's say I went today, my PM would hand me MSContin and it would say "fill date" 12/19/2013......
The other prescript
ion would say MSContin "do not fill until 01/17/2014 (but dated today as that is the only legal way to do it. They must be dated the same day and signed at the same time)
So, we aren't speaking of getting 90 days (or 3 months worth of meds at once from the Pharmacy) we are talking about
getting more than one physical prescript
ion in hand for each Schedule 2 med when we leave the Dr. appt. so we don't have to drive to the Dr. again next month to pick up, or wait for the mail, or have to go in for a monthly appt.
