OFF of Fenytal 2 days, IN MISERY

My pain patch end saturday. i was at my sons for xmas.
As day progressed I got worse. I took 3 elavil along with my gabapental last nite so I could get to sleep. I worked well. My first hour up i felt pretty good, now, PAIN IS AT 8-9 in hands and feet. I have call in to doc to go pick up perscripton and to set up appointment.

On top of it all, my husband and I both agreed to get a divorce, he says he cant care for me any longer and I can't stand his attitude and saying and calling me names. He knows that having neuropathy in both hands, in my feet, plus severe back pain and arthritis and CFS and fibro are not my fault. I agree he does get tired of me and how can I blame him. SO, Im calling an attorney today and get this boat heading up the road from Texas to Tucson Ariz.

I just started getting SSI, which won't support me. I can't stand to talk anymore, gota go outside in freezing weather to keep from having panic attack. I can't believe this is happening to me at 63.....Until later,,,,,

I too am sorry for all you have going on.

I think Linds said it best.... try to breathe and know you will get through this - even if it doesn't feel like it in the moment.

Withdrawing from fentanyl is very difficult -- are you just waiting on picking up a prescription? If you let us know what's going on w/ that - we can try to help you.

Hi Cathy and I too am sorry your having so much trouble. I hope you get your meds back on track and from what I think Im seeing you just didnt have any and no one would take you to pick them up? You will feel a lot better and more able to deal once you get them back up and going.

I am sorry about your marriage as well but I am one of those CPers that ended up getting a divorce as well after my CP started and it turned out Ok, I didnt need the constant headache and reminder that I couldnt do this or that or telling me that I was always sick and a hypochondriac!!! It all turned out well after he left!! He did the best thing for me and I even sent him a Thank you card when it was all over. I never had to be talked to like that again and my kids and grandkids became my life!!! I could spend all my time with them and I do and am lovin it!!

Had a enough men to last a lifetime,figure I dont have alot of years left so spending it with my children and their children and how and when I want is the way to go. I never missed him for a minute.

You will be fine and you can wish all the bad things on him!!Lol

Please be careful with the elavil and get that patch back on as soon as possible so you can get back to feeling better.

We are approx same age, I have sons & grandkids - after many attempts to find 'happily ever after' I quit trying.. about 20 yr ago.. my family loves me, still do NOT understand how I look good & say I feel SO bad

Edited as grandkids climbed up beside me ;-). Wanted 'gramma time'

I am so sorry to read of what's been going on. It seems like you've been trampled and hit with everything. (Or as Vickie would say, the truck is parked on top of you and running back and forth).

I do wish I could offer some help,...but I can lend an ear and a shoulder. You do have friends here that will help you in ways you may not imagine...just by being here, it's healing.

Cathy sorry to read about the marriage situation but from what you have written here he did you a huge favor when he made his announcement. Remember, Texas is a community property state, meaning you are entitled to 50% of everything, I too live in Tx. If you consulted with an atty I am sure he told you this.

I think once you are settled in Az you will be amazed at how much better you feel physically and mentally. Living under the conditions you have been has really kicked you in the seat of your pants more than you are aware of. Getting out frm under that stress alone will make you feel much better. As far as staying until you could collect on his SS, hey, as the old saying goes, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and this was one of those times. I am just sorry that you had to live under those conditions.

He may be sick & tired of you being sick, but so are you. It is not like you picked up the phone & called a 1-800 number requesting to be hit with all of these different medical problems. But, we see this, some spouses just cannot hack it when the other one goes down. And when this does happen that person is much better off away from that person no matter what.

So glad you got your script picked up, whew that had to have been awful. Take care...Susie
