well just got back from my appt. with my pm concerning a pump adjustment and the pain i'm been having sinse last monday. just in casr ya don't know, last monday i had my first appt. for an adjustment to the pump and sinse then i've had sharp shooting pains down my left leg. anyway today i mentioned it to him
and he adjusted the pump to 0.250, uped my neurontin to 800mgs 3 times a day. now on a sour note, if i'm still having the shooting pain next monday to come in and they'll do some kind of x-ray to check the
catheder for a possible kink. (god i hope not) which would mean another surgery to fix that. well so far
it's been an interesting ride for me and the pump. so theres my update for the day. hopefully with the new year around the corner i can start it on a better note...

Well, the good news is, it sounds like this doc is willing and open to adjustments, increases, and the like, and that he's really responsive to your pain, which is great.

Fingers crossed it won't be a kink, but if it is, you'll get it fixed and be happier for having done so. We're here for you :)

Hey Mark,

I hope the adjustment works and you get some pain relief. I really would not like to hear that the catheter kinked.

Please keep is updated and let us know if the pain subsides as the week progresses.

Good luck to you. Glad you got your med increase...... and glad the doctor is being watchful to the additional pain. Praying that it's not a catheter issue!

Also hoping it's not a cath issue, but it sounds like your doc is being compassionate, thorough, as well as understanding. So you have that in your corner. (Sometimes that's one of the biggest battles).
