Friendly reminder......

Hey all,

I've been on the forums for over 5 years now - and have seen lots of people come/go...... many "misunderstandings", etc.

Let's all try to remember that posting online has many, many benefits - but that it has it's share of limitations as well........ one important one being that it's hard to convey meaning/tone across a computer.

So my encouragement is to try to remember that when you are both reading something....... AND writing something.......

I tend to have a pretty sarcastic sense of humor, lol..... and I know this isn't always conveyed properly across the computer -- so I always try to reread what I write before posting, as to not offend.

Anyway........ just have seen a couple of sensitive situations in the past couple of days........ So just a friendly reminder :)

I'm part of the sarcasm crew too but I try to put [/sarcasm] when I am using it online. And with pain being such a sensitive subject I really don't use it often on here.

Count me in! I have a tendency to be blunt and some folks don't appreciate that as well as others. I think at this time a few of Cps mods are. We attempt to be brutally honest and many are not seeing that as support. I can assure everyone that's how its meant.

Sometimes I don't respond simply because I know that honest bluntness will be seen as something other then caring support.

Appreciate this post. It is definitely a tough one. A lot gets left up to the reader's imagination, and feelings can get hurt over misunderstandings.

One of the best aspects of a forum, (being able to write, being accepted and not judged) can also be challenging when, as was stated, "tone" is a bit more difficult to "write" in our posts.

Here's to continuing to learn, try, and keeping an open mind.
