For my chronic pain I've been taking Percocet (generic "Alvogen") just this past month and 8mg Exalgo. The generic percocets were SO weak I used them up too early and I don't think that Exalgo 1x/24hrs. is doing Anything. Before, I was taking Endocet 10/325 and MS Contin 30mg 2x/day. My appt. isn't for 10 more days and I feel HORRIBLE....like pre-w/drawal symptoms. I have no "extra" Exalgo either. Anyone use that stuff? cry cry All I have are 10mg. Flexiril and the Exalgo. HELP??

Do not take more of your pain medication than is prescribed. Talk to your doctor and explain that the prescription was not enough. The time to share this information is BEFORE you take more than prescribed, not after. It is when people wing it that they get into pain trouble, and then get into doctor trouble.

Follow your doctor's advice. If it is not working, you need to communicate that so that they can make appropriate changes. You are paying him for his expert opinion. If you are not truthful with him, or if you do not follow his advice, he will be less likely to help you.

I am sure others will have advice on how to manage the next week or so.

Oh no! I am not taking more than prescribed. But since I'm not taking the BR endocet, I keep feeling VERY cold and jittery...can't eat either. I will call my doc as soon as my phone arrives on weds! gggrrr I'm only taking the Exalgo for pain.

Are you saying that the medications are so weak that you believe that is why you feel the way that you do ? Or are you saying that your dr didn't give you a 30 day supply ? Sorry for the confusion.

I am sorry. I thought you used them (percocets) up early?

What I got from your post is that you take two pain meds. One got used up early. You have a doctor's appointment in ten days. The other you have enough of to last until your doctor's appointment, but no more. Is this accurate?

Yes, that's right. Since the stuff is so weak and plus I had just this month changed to the 8mg Exalgo which does NOTHING...seems..so I'm going to ask to go back to MS Contin 30 mg. 2x/day and Percocet for BT. The only reason I had the meds changed is in hopes that they will work better. So far, not working. Geez...I hate to go to a higher dose; also why Ihave switched around. I've used the Fentynol patches, too....angh....
Now I just want SOMETHING to work OR I want off of it all. I'm between a rock & a hard place. I can't do anything until my phone arrives on Weds about appts!!
