I'm going to have an honest, direct, and grown-up talk with you, because I think you can handle it.
First, if there was some miracle drug for neuropathy, every doctor and their patient would be jumping on the bandwagon to get it and find out more about what it is.
For my age, I tend to be quite an "old fashioned girl," with regards to things like the clothing that I way, my verbal interaction, even my interests.
That said, please, please,.....if you see some type of "naturopathic" or "homeopathic" remedy for neuropathic pain, I beg you to proceed with caution. "Back in the day" they would call these types of things "snake oil" which claimed to cure everything from gout, being overweight, lumbago, heck, no doubt even hair loss.
Before you try anything at all, please, encourage you to check with your doctor and your pharmacist. They were quite versed in some of the "products" that are going around. Some may do nothing, some may make you quite sick, and well, to be honest. there are even some that contain arsenic claiming it can cure "this and that."
I know how badly you want answers, and you want them yesterday, or sooner! But for your own protection, please limit your search to FDA approved remedies. All it may take is one dose of this mysterious elixir to throw your body out of wack.
I believe there truly is a place for what we westerners call "alternative medicine," but if they are above-board, they will happily work with your physician in designing a treatment program.
I did this with acupuncture. I had to find the "right one" of course, but once I did, I felt an awful lot safer knowing all my healing practitioners were on the same page!
Good luck to you, and let us know you make out.
