Alcie, I am sorry to hear that your pain continues...this is the second time I've had c-spine surgery and it does take time for the pain and tingling to subside. It can be very discouraging at times and days and weeks can seem long. I know it was well over a year the first time around for me before things substantially calmed down. Please do consult your Dr. if things don't seem to be improving or get worse. When I had very severe pain at the 11 week mark this time, they treated me with steroids and that did help. I still have pain and flare-ups of more significant pain and tingling, I try to limit riding in the car, using my ipad or other things that seem to contribute to problems. For me, the symptoms don't get worse gradually, they just kind of suddenly appear which makes it hard to predict and avoid some things. I do hope that you feel better and that your surgery will ultimately be a life-improving thing. I know that after my first surgery my quality of life improved significantly. I'm currently 10 months out from my second surgery (at a different level) and am trying to be patient in healing...easier said than done. Take care of yourself and don't push too hard...time can bring healing. The very best to you!
