Side effects question

I'm new to this board but not this site. I have several medical issues, some that cause constant pain. Normally I hold things together with tramadol, Tylenol, and flexeril with a nice heating pad.

Last week I had surgery for a pinched nerve. My dr prescribed Percocet. I got the generic. The next day my eyes felt they couldn't focus. My vision got very blurry. I'm near sighted but I can actually read better without me while reading. I called my dr and he said it was a rare side effect. He put me on Vicodin (again generic). The Vicodin isn't as good for the pain. My vision is still very blurry. I'm not sure if it takes time for the drug to leave my system or if there's something else going on. I haven't had any Percocet since Tuesday. Any help would be great.

Im like SE and the more I use my phone and the brighter the screen the more often it happens but it can last days. Im actually having the problem as we speak and usually get to a point I just cant read the font no matter how big I make it.

Your Drs correct and its rare the side effect in short term use but its common in longterm opiate use as they effect all senses,hearing,vision and taste taking the largest hit.

Try just giving your eyes a few days rest from the computer and reading and you should see improvement.
