No side effects???!!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry about that one!
Is there any way you can go to another Dr?
Yes, they do have side effects, I had a cervical steroid injection a few weeks ago (herniated discs, one pressing on the C7 nerve) and straight away got bad back pain, that evening my pain was worse and my left knee/ankle was numb, I was sick to my stomach (still am) sharp pains in left side of chest, Dr said nothing to do with the injection!
The day after left arm was so painful I could not stand it, shooting pains down in to my middle fingers,it goes in between feeling numb and pain, arm had not felt that bad before, neck did finally improve a little but all the side effects are not worth it to me, also have a rash on my neck and after visiting my Dr. a few days ago learned my BP is sky high. My arm is killing me all the time.
The docs nurse is mad because you went to the ER? sounds fishy to me, so sorry this happened, not fun at all.
I wouldn't go back to that Dr again, when I told the Dr who gave me the injection my arm is killing me and I feel numb in my leg/foot he said, over the phone without even examining my leg, that he could just put another injection in to my lower back...scary stuff.
What did the Dr at the ER say to do about your neck? Hope you get some relief soon!
