First off, I want to thank everyone once again for the thoughts & prayers for my brother. A week ago yesterday he was accepted & moved to a rehabilitation hospital for extensive rehab. The case worker said that based on his medical records he would only be there 1-2 weeks max. He was discharged to go home this morning. He is walking on a walker, he can shower & dress himself all, of this is a huge step. He is unsteady on his feet & still drags his right foot but every day he gets better. It is a miracle that he survived another TBI. His cognitive skills are severely impaired. We hope in time this will improve, time will only tell. He will have occupational therapy at home for probably a week or two & this will help him a lot.
I am going to ask that you continue to keep him in your prayers as he still has a very long road ahead of him. This is far from over, but we are thankful that he is where he is at this point especially when we were given the opposite outcome for him.
