I don´t want to make all my posts pessimistic.
Mi life is: wake up at 14:30 PM to take a glass of milk , and return to bed till 16:30-17:00.....at this time I dressed myself with a great effort and I will go to bed to my nephew . My nephew is a very veryyy nice boy with great hazelnut-eyes, he has 4 months.
After that I have a walk for the garden near my house, and return to my house, perhaps to navigate for internet or for go to bed again...
At 21:00 I have a call to my father and I speak to him some minutes (mi father doesn´t like cellulars).
My mother was The person I loved most in the world, but she passed out two years ago. I think in her everyday of my life.
After that I take my dinner at 22:00 (I am spanish), and after that I connect to this forum to talk to you.
At 2:00 AM in Spain I will go to bed.
What do you think about this life?.
This is not life, isn´t it?.

Seymour, even in pain you are fortunate to have the life you lead. It could be so much worse.

Seymour, I have been reading your posts and my heart does go out to you. I know that right now things seem hopeless but you have to keep going on and believe that something will be figured out soon. We all have a purpose in life even though we may not know what that is. Please know that we are all hoping that you get better and that you find the answers to your problems. Please never give up.

Where you see nothing but pain and sadness in viewing your life in that post I see HOPE Seymour. I see a small child that looks forward to seeing his uncle everyday. I see a Son whose Father anticipates his call daily so important that he doesn't want to miss a word thru a cellular connection, I see a man that has the ability to walk the grounds of his property and the freedom to do so! I see a family that can sit down to dinner and food on the table. I know a person whose health is in jeopardy but has the resources to visit many doctors, have multiple tests and medicine available. I see a Chronic pain patient who has the world wide internet and a Healingwell forum filled with people whose lives he's touched with his words, who has made friends who truly understand and pray for you to someday soon find an answer. I see many blessings and many reasons to put your feet on the floor another day!

And just out of curiosity Seymour do you drink that milk everyday? And why?

Sometimes I am beginning to lost my hopes, but this things makes me believe I must fight more.
Yes I drink milk everyday: lactose free. why?, because I cannot eat anything more than milk or yogourt or something very very soft my pain is such that I cannot eat anymore...In the dinner I can eat something more: fish, salad, etc...

Have you tried hyper hydration ?
Drink 4 to 8 liters of fluid every day.
Did wonders for my pain. It is well known that dehydration
causes muscle cramps. Please try it for a week

Also massage therapy can be transforming
If you can not afford a massage person to come to your
home, I would find another person with chronic pain
near my home [ask orthopedists, pain or spine doctors for names]
and trade massages with each other.

Also look in to electrical stimulation implants.
That changes many lives and it has been around for a while now.

Your welcome Seymour! Milk, yogurt? Something in the back of my mind scratching my memory but unfortunately my brain fogs blocking the thought, I'm going to do some searching and see if I can shake it loose and will get back to you.

Hang in there and hopefully there's an answer on the horizon!

Please do not take this the wrong way, but so many of your posts are full of negativity and self loathing. This type of thinking does not do you any good and if fact makes things worse.

Instead of concentrating on the negative try focusing on the positive. A positive attitude can go a long way in at least minimizing your pain and discomfort.

Seymour, even with the pain you are having, you are leading are able to have a life. You may not think so, however, you are capable of doing some things some people cannot. I always say, there is always someone a lot worse off than me & I truly believe that. Perhaps you should start looking at things that way.

I noticed you mentioned eating salads, since you seem to be having bowel problems eating lettuce & cabbage is very hard on the bowels, especially with diarrhea, it can make it worse. The folks in the IBS forum & the crohns forum can give you tips on how to help the diarrhea problem. Rice & bananas are good for it. You should avoid all spicy foods, eat a bland diet.

Check out the Selected Carb Diet, (SCD).

There are lots of different food advice, and not all of it works for each and every person. Ultimately, you need to find out what style of eating works for you.

Once I stumbled on SCD, my crohns/UC lessened significantly. I learned what foods are my triggers. I still have issues, and am not cured, and still on medication. But no grains or starches, no unprocessed dairy, no soy, no sugar... it has really helped me. It is really restrictive.

The milk/yogurt might be causing the issue. It is not lactose that is the problem, sometimes, it is the sugars in the milk which can be the issue.

Just food for thought.

Also, get out of bed some. I am not advocating turning into a super athlete, but too much down time makes you think too much about your health/problems, and then reinforces it.

I don't think you have it to bad. At least you get out and you get to see someone. Then you have a dad that's alive to talk to. You just have to learn to live with yourself and pain. Get a Dog or Cat to keep you company and take for walks.

Hi Seymor.... Does not sound too bad, you may want to add a hobby to help improve the esteem some more, but with faith and hope for a better future, you can make life what ever you would like.

Also Symoure< Vicki presented her reply so perfectly. This is so true, sometimes we don't value the things that is plainly right in sight of us that so many others may take for granted.. Having a cute baby to blahhh you to death and those smiles that can probably light up a building. Having a family dinner and being able to take a walk on the beautiful grounds surrounded by a garden. How wonderful. I will keep you in my prayers.
