An update

Well I've not been here for a few months. This is basically because school has taken over my life. My pain is bad, but I have realised talking to people about it will not help. My legs, as I'm sitting here, are in a lot of pain because I walked the 2.2 miles home after sitting in a 2 hour exam. The exams started yesterday and they've been exhausting but not terrible. The worst day will be Thursday, I have 3 exams- 2 chemistry and an RE which total 4 hours.. Tomorrow is also around 4 hours but I only have a Spanish and Maths exam. this amount of exams is exhausting and painful and I'm not entirely sure I'll cope. But it's (only!!) until 13th June.
Back to the pain, I went to a paediatric specialist at Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle and he said it is almost certainly not arthritis in my hands. He's going to ask for a few more tests to rule out arthritis in my spine and a few other things but he's thinking Joint Hypermobility, possibly going into Fibromyalgia.

I too had chronic pain all through school. I know it's hard, but it will be worth it in the end.

One fact about some forms of juvenile arthritis is that it is usually sero-negative. It won't show up in blood work. Not that I want you to have JRA, just something to remember when talking with the dr.

I hope they can find a cause for you pain and treat it so you can be a kid :)

so talking to people about the pain does not help. i'm confused. should we just ignore you?

**Edit: i realize the above could come off as rude, i didn't mean it that way at all. i am just honestly not sure if you want us to comment or not. hope things get figured out!
